What I just don’t understand for the life of me is why they continue to have kids despite the costs of healthcare, lack of maternity leave, school shootings, etc. Wouldn’t bringing children into a society like that be considered child abuse? Even if I was a married person in (say) Iceland or New Zealand where children lead much better lives I wouldn’t even want to bring a child into a world where the USA even exists. Just my two cents at least.

I was not expecting to learn that Musk’s response to this being Nazi puns (or that we seen him sharing his heart to the crowd and it’s night and day compared to this). That shows this wasn’t an accident or him being “autistic.” It’s him acting like a Nazi.

For all the academic books that have been published over the years defining and describing fascism as an ideological family, I stumbled across an elegantly succinct explanation from /r/discoelysium of all places.
For context, OP posted to the sub complaining that he was trying to do a fascist run of the game, so geared his character to “traditionalism” and picked all the dialogue options that fit with that. The problem is that his character took a morale hit whenever he did so, and the in-game mechanics were making that a pain in the ass. Thus he wanted to know if there was a way to mitigate and get around that.
This reply from /u/RecalcitrantJester is where that succinct description came out to shine, and I have yet to find a better explanation for the misery that is being a MAGA loon or a Neo-Nazi. The bolded part at the end is the tl;dr.
Being a fascist is a deeply demoralizing experience. You have to not only radically alter your worldview to make reality fit into your unhinged schema, but that worldview is predicated on the notion that the weakest, most unworthy degenerate worms on the planet are somehow overpowering and humilitating you on a moment-by-moment basis.In mechanical terms too, the lowered morale also reduces your volition score - the more you indulge in your delusions, the less you are able to exercise self-control and self-awareness.The point of fascism being mechanically detrimental…is that fascism is an unequivocally self-destructive ideology, the practice of which only serves to nurture that self-destructive urge and turn it outward. It’s not like Dark Side points in [Knights of the Old Republic] where you can access cool new abilities and get to enjoy being such a nasty lil rascal; you are not supposed to enjoy being a fascist in Disco Elysium. Fascism is the act of self-deception in service of making your own life more painful solely for the payoff of making life more painful for people you dislike.
