“Pastors” like Hibbs should be physically reminded of what their beloved cross was originally used for.

I’ve seen some people say California would be a much better place if wildfires just never happened.

They have literally no idea how nightmarish that would be to the state. We’re talking an ecosystem collapse unlike anything we’ve ever experienced.

Christian Nationalist (that is, a far-right authoritarian strain of Christian) pastor Jack Hibbs said in his latest sermon that LA Mayor Karen Bass would have been hanged by the Founding Fathers for her dereliction of duty.

So, contextually speaking, we have a white nationalist preacher implying that a Black woman ought to be hanged. Of course, “anti-woke” financier Bill Ackman was quick to quotetweet the video of the sermon, calling it “powerful.”

This is very quickly going to be overturned once Trump takes over.

I’m getting tired of it. No matter how dumb they’ll look for the liberal highlight reel, Republicans are still the ones in control. I won’t be surprised if he gets in.
Do these tiny wins actually matter, or are we just coping with the fact it’s going to be a very rough 4 years?

Not only did they wipe the main servers, they wiped the backups too, so internet and other services there have been crippled big time. There’s also been massive attacks on targets deep within the country.
I’m sure they’re pulling a Baghdad Bob and saying “everything’s fine” though.

Those people are making a mistake almost as big as the people who turn into bootstrap-loving bootlickers because they got annoyed by one guy once.

The world would be a better place if both of those issues were fixed.

On the bright side, at least Admiral Alcoholism will be waging wars against other countries for their beer barrels instead of their oil…

Also saw from the hearing that he has apparently been accused of sexually assaulting female co-workers while he was under the influence too.

For the party of “Good Christian/Family values”, Trump sure does like filling it up with sex pests that cheat on their partners…

Nor should we forget how dumb we are.

Among other things, he was directly asked about Trump’s assertions to deploy the US military on US soil and he basically called the question a “gotcha” and deflected.

One Dem senator tried to bring up his alcohol addiction and a Rep senator (surprisingly not Lady Lindsay Graham) rebuked the question, asserting “Everyone makes mistakes”. A reminder that the “mistake” is habitual binges to the point of black-out drunkenness, often while on the job, and him still engaging in it. He once again asserted that he will go sober…if he gets the job. Yes, he really pulled “I can stop when I want!” cliche.

Worst part is he’s still fully set to be confirmed. Congrats MAGA, we’re about to have Barney from the Simpsons running the military.

Only heard breif bits of it, apparently he said he wanted America to return to having a “Warrior Culture” again and he kept getting drowned out by booing?

According to Jack Smith’s report, there was enough evidence to convict Trump of his crimes on Jan. 6th, 2021. But Trump getting re-elected killed any chances of that happening.

Gosh, I can’t believe people would choose to elect a criminal or not participate in a critical election when our lives depended on it.

The Texas and Alabama governors has ordered flags in their states to be at full mast during Trump’s inauguration. Not to be outdone on bootlicking Speaker Johnson has ordered all federal flags also be raised.

I mean we already knew that was going to happen but hey confirmation that we do live in an egopolis.

Edit:Also Hegseth’s confirmation hearing for Secretary of Defense is underway. It’s going about as well as you’d think.

If they’re worth their salt then they provided a source that you can double check.

I recall seeing a meme on Xitter because I left where Nintendo is literally waging war to prevent the execution of Luigi until he pays for infringement.

Not if Nintendo gets to him first.

Luigi I mean. I’m fully convinced that if The World’s Most Italian Named Man gets the death penalty it will be because Nintendo is upset someone is infringing on their trademarks.

Also even more timely news: Incoming Trump teams grills civil servants over political loyalties and who they voted for in the election.

So yeah that’s cool, that’s supposed to be private information and it’s illegal for boss to discriminate based off political your political leanings, but hey that’s hardly the first law the incoming FOTUS has broken.

Just going to look forward to people with an actual skill set connected to the government job being replaced (hey we had a discussion related to this a bit ago…as I said, very timely) by people who’s only qualification is they own a MAGA cap.
