Because she was after the attention. When she got it, she went against the stuff she hates, which at the same time showed her true colors as a human being. Now that she has no target, but all the attention, its a matter of time until she decides to attack something else.
 
She is heading towards PurpleTinker’s path. Which is not exactly a nice one.

I wouldn’t say “progress” per se, since we are not a technological/philosophical movement. In any case, it divides the fandom between those who like Molestia and those who dont. Said division makes things tense within the fandom, which in turn ends annoying others who are not part of the drama. Then it all becomes a clusterfuck where everyone is against everyone.
 
The only ones that keep making art/music/videogames also get in the way and BAM. Many people leave the fandom, and others join the fandom only to troll.
 
Not only we halt production of good stuff, we destroy it, and then we destroy ourselves.
