I wish there was a guide for social media security written for artists (and I mean that in the kindest possible way).  
Not that there’s really much direct threat at all from these people. They’re not even at the “hit the LOIC button” level of tech savvy.

Ah, I just thought of something. You know what would be great? A art site for fandoms in general. I don’t mean like derpibooru or such. I don’t mean tumblr either. Tumblr is a social media site that let’s people post art.
 
What I mean is a multilanguage(that way people who don’t speak english can still use it) site not just for bronies, but for everyone. The problem with DA is the they screw over artists that want to do commissions; tumblr you can just abuse the report function to remove people; derpibooru is a image site and as much as I like this site changing it from the ground up would make the programmers cry; pixiv is good, but it’s all in japanese.

I believe Hasbro had no part in the take down. But this aching feeling is still bothering me.
 
Who else here thinks Hasbro did send a C&D but JJ and his crew decided not to disclose such matter to the fandom in order to avoid a terrible drama in the fandom they love? Or perhaps they’ve been put on a gag order of some sort. Instead, they made up a not so frightening and watered down story of what actually happened.
 
I know this is unlikely true, but it’s just a paranoid hunch that keeps biting me. Perhaps I should really take off my conspiracy theorist goggles for once…
