Flurry Heart was really mostly for the toy sales. Does Troubleshoes have a toy? Come to think of it, do Sunburst or Statswirl have official toys?

I think the races of mythical creatures we’ll see in g5 depends on how much was invested on Atomic Cartoons to make new CG models of.

I don’t think any G4 characters will appear in G5. There’s a very simple reason for this. If they’re ponies, they’re dead. If they’re non ponies, Atomic Cartoons will be tasked in making 3d cg models of these characters from scratch. I don’t even know how the standard G5 characters would look like when they get wet or if they’re running around in rain.

Boulder already had a hard time with clothing. I think Atomic Cartoons will stick mostly to pony characters only as its easier to just recycle the models repeatedly. At least for now.

Its not about being obsessed. Its more like a person sees this art or thread about a ship they don’t like and they go in there and reee hard because someone likes something they don’t like. That’s when it gets toxic.

I like the ship. But shipping aside, who would pass off an episode where characters like Izzy and Sprout try to annoy each other. Sprout is very grumpy and unicorns terrify him but Izzy keeps bothering him going “Hi new friend” all day.

The pegasus needed magic to fly but in the movie, it looked like earth ponies never even knew they lost magic or had magic to begin with. I’m not sure what that would mean in the series.

Based on the movie, Sprout also hates them but he focused more on unicorns because Izzy came to town.

There was also the opening scene when he was a kid. He was playing with the Rarity figure and was denied unicorn cupcakes. So audience impression of him was more connected to unicorns.

How would Sprout feel if he found out he was part unicorn? This stuff writes itself.

Probably nothing because they died a long time ago. But who knows? Maybe in the series he ends up liking unicorns.

I had not thought of that but it does make sense. If a story is written to prop up a (former) villain character by squashing down an established hero character, the squash down must be severe. So severe that it appears jarring to the average audience.

I assure you I hate that kind of writing. Lowering other characters just to prop up others is a terrible way to “foil.” Its much worse for the mane 6 because they’ve had more episodes. Starlight just happens to be the most notorious because she came in to the series late but that doesn’t mean she’s the only character used that way.

Yeah. I’m sure the mane 6 never got captured by Chrysalis because they’re so competent and needed Starlight to save them.

How did it feel when the mane 6 only existed to make Starlight look good?

I personally would be shocked if a kid’s show did that. MLP has always promoted core traditional values and virtues required by individuals to allow a society to function.

It is such a negative message to tell children that people never get better because they are what they are born into. Even Decepticons had defectors. Even Darth Vader turned on the 11th hour because his son never lost faith in him.

Has behavioral sink really sank western story telling preferences this low now?

They’re called flaws. You can’t have character development if a character has no flaws to overcome. Besides, there was that episode that showed Discord can’t stop being chaotic or else he’ll fade away and die.

You guys think g5 will have a gaming episode? Imagine the g5 ponies play 6 player Pico Park. Sprout would intentionally mess them up and claim its lagg.

RD destroys Cloudsdale? I have to rewatch that. That sounds like a thing to add to all the “questionable things” the main characters of g4 have done.

Actually no. There was intentional effort to hide as much of the characters personalities as possible and only put hints that you can see when you pause the movie. My guess was they were trying to keep the run time below 90 mins.

The g5 movie shouldn’t be called a movie at all. IMO, its more like a pilot episode for the g5 series than an actual movie.

Maybe. It had many versions. I heard the three tribes were going to be from different worlds. I heard the main characters would have changelings and kirin with them. I heard Applejack was gonna be black and evil. There’s probably several other versions but I can’t remember.
