Artists are going to do whatever they want with this stuff. I don’t see the point of making a thread decrying any one of them for “getting them wrong.”
 
Also dm29 knows about the 4chan thread and occasionally responds on his own images here. I imagine anti-Flashlight shippers are fueling his desire to make more pictures with the couple, given he has fun with hate it brings him.

The problem is is that he doesn’t get the point of this. The chart is supposed to put the viewer in the perspective of interacting with the pony. He’s just injecting his favorite ship into this, which defeats the purpose. It’s supposed to be doing things with your waifu, not Flash Sentry’s.
 
Also I have no idea why he loves this ship so much.

Dude, you don’t know the half of it… I remember back in the early Season 2 days of the fandom, I remember seeing on DA (DeviantArt) shortly before the “Hearts & Hooves” day episode aired, there was this one crazy teenage girl ranting, and raving about how angry she was that it was going to make the “CheeriMac” pairing canon, (a conclusion she came to, just from the brief episode description) because she was a huge “FlutterMac” fan. She retaliated by drawing tons of FluttershyXBigMac pics, as well as “hate-art” of Cheerilee.
 
(Ironically, said episode seemed to be kinda poking fun at romance, ‘shipping, and didn’t make “CheeriMac” canon. So she was freaking out over nothing.)
 
’Shippers are scary sometimes… But at least DM29 is one of the more casual/nicer ones.

It’s a template that already has like five different versions.
 
Also, dm29 is displaying a range of character emotions, they just have at least one other character in the panel so the characters are displaying motion to each other rather than out to the viewer.
 
It’s not like there’s some governing body dictating how these things are supposed to be used.
 
Honestly, I doubt this picture would have even half the comments if a different ship was depicted anyway.

Hoooray you are missing the point as much as dm29 did! It’s about displaying character emotions in relation to events happening to them, dm29 not only used it just to satisfy his shipping, he just seems to reuse a bunch of bases he made ages ago and doesn’t draw characters emoting at all.
