Remember the episode about the background ponies?
I stopped watching halfway through season three because of the same influence that spawned episodes like that. More power to you if you like it but I prefer the innocence and exploration of youth to what’s become of this
@The Smiling Pony
I never used pb tbh just the chans and a now-nonexistent forum. The prevalence of ocs has been on a steady rise for a while now, though, and I’m sure the stigma against them was still pretty popular on that website
@Zeb
If so, it bothers me that the source link we have for that image links to a “remember when” post rather than the original. On a side note, I think this image has by now long earned an “adventure in the comments” tag. Let’s have another round of applause for Derpibooru~
@Nittany Discord
Allow me to amend my statement: he inspired her YouTube debut. I believe Fluffle Puff: PFUDOR is the first in the video series, which is what FluffyMixer is best known for.
@Zeb
Shame on you, Zeb. I expect more from our resident Internet encyclopedia~
@Sollace *Whoopsie*~ Formatting error on my part. Fixed!

You can quickly compare the dates and see how wrong you are, my friend~ The song was released in November of 2010, coincidentally one month after Friendship is Magic’s pilot episodes. Fluffle Puff’s rendition came along in July of 2013, nearly three years later. Andrew even made a video not two months ago responding to this confusion.

Isn’t that why the fandom survived this long? Because of the community?
Remember the episode about the background ponies? That was written for the community. The show writers used several ideas from the fandom to design and write the characters for that one episode. Ditzy is funny, Whooves is smart, and even put in Octavia which compared to other of the more well-known characters, isn’t that much famous.
MLP:FiM is famous because of the community. We love the show and even with all the really cheesy writing from time to time, it’s fun to watch. They have interesting characters, locations and writing. We saw things that would never had happened in any other “little girls show”.
We saw a timid pony crack a bear’s neck, a sociopath altering history through time-travel, a Pegasus breaking the speed of sound and my personal favorite, a demigod alicorn vs an empowered centaur.
This picture isn’t just about celebrating the site nor is it just about the show. It’s about celebrating the fandom and its entirety. The cartoon, the community and the booru. Because what else is there?
Damn, now I wanna go watch all the episodes on a marathon.
