Colour scheme is likely hereditary to some degree, but not a hundred percent indicator of relation because there’s a lot of different ways different families can come to the same colours.

Seriously, tho, there’s only so many colors but there’s so many ponies, so probably not the best way to determine relation. Though that pattern of families with similar colors does seem to exist.

I was thinking of doing that with Comet Tail… then I made this oc.
Now thinking of using my griffon oc since then I could use it even for non-pony things without being too overtly pony. And my friend is writing the story I used the oc in as an RP-adapted to fanfic.

Oh hey, Just thought I’d mention that the “Full version” of the pic seems to still be one of the older versions. Lot of OCs still missing on that one that are now on this version. And clearing cache/shift+f5 hasn’t changed that.

I feel like it’s that weird category like Button Mash where they’re canon but they’re also effectively someone else’s character because they were such a brief appearance in the show.
You know what would be different, next collab could have a theme. Like have it all christmasy or maybe a halloween theme with the OC’s dressed in costumes.
