Maybe she is trying to claim what Musk did wasn’t a Nazi salute and doesn’t realize that she also did a Nazi salute because of it.

At that point, it would establish that anyone who doesn’t condemn it or at least distance themselves from the GOP as a whole in response to such an event would be complicit in enabling the fascism we’re facing.

The galaxy brain in me says the deportation flights Trump’s administration is bragging about is just them taking undeserved credit for something that’s been happening under Biden and we only just found out about it.

Trump is obsessed with deporting as many people as Obama and Biden did but everyone knows that won’t happen because border crossings are at a new low.

Trump doesn’t wanna put tariffs on China.

I’m willing to bet the main reason border crossings are becoming so low is because Trump is bragging so loudly about deportations that it’s scaring all the would-be migrants into staying put until the next administration, while Obama and Biden had to deport so many migrants because said migrants believed those Democrats wouldn’t be as hard on them as any Republicans. Really, the intimidation factor is something worth keeping in mind, in my opinion.

I believe there will be a significant drop in deportations after an initially high number, and from there I foresee two possible outcomes: Trump will claim the drop from initial highs as a sign that he is winning the war against illegal immigrants, or he will see the drop of deportations as a sign that he’s losing and demand that efforts be ramped up to the point that opponents decry inhumane cruelty.

They were already falling before Trump was even elected.

Of course, Fascists and Serial Criminals, (both of the “Stabby N Shooty” and “Bad Touchy” Variety), are usually best buds.

This gives me a bit of relief, as it means I have some more job security. Our business relies a lot on Chinese and SE Asian production plants, and they were talking about how any tariffs on China were gonna hit the company hard. Also were talking about layoffs but don’t know where or when.

But I still stand by what I said. The American people aren’t as virtuous or as kind as you think. Trump’s election has proven something, it’s proven that cruelty, vanity, and misinformation are not punished but are instead rewarded in this country. We could have changed but we never did. That was too much work.

That’s honestly very self-pitying and incredibly cruel to believe you and I deserve to suffer because of the mistakes of other people. Did Jews and disabled people unable to escape areas occupied by Germany deserve to be exterminated because other Germans enabled Hitler and his Nazis to rise to power? Did the Japanese civilians in Hiroshima and Nagasaki deserve atomic bombs because of what their military did? Did the innocent civilians in the Middle East deserve to be slaughtered by the USA despite not having to do with al-Qaeda? Think about those for a second.

I will gladly help folks who voted against Rump and even offer a hand to those who didn’t vote.

Ditto; what I was taking issue with was @neutralgrey having this doomer mindset that we all deserve to get fucked over by Reps, Musk and Trump because Harris didn’t get enough votes, hence why I brought up those comparisons.
