It’s natural for humans to be fascinated by the failure of another.

Well, her lastest tumblr entry was about that bootleg Rarity plush she got from china and she saying “I love her like my own child” without having the slightiest idea of what means saying something like that.
 
It’s difficult to not consider her a bad person indeed.
 
Also, while I try to not get too involved on this, I must admit that this is like discovering the CWCwikipedia all over again: A huge trainwreck I can’t stop watching.

It’s funny how horrible people think that people need to “expose” things for them to find out how horrible they are. Every horrible person I’ve met didn’t need any exposing, they did it themselves. She is no exception.

Keep in mind that these are also thing her ex-boyfriends say, ie, not exactly impartial (despite her confirming the whole fake pregnancy thing).
 
I would really rather discussion in this thread be kept to DWM and its online presence, and not stalking people IRL.

She’s on full damage control mode, especially after her disatrous comments about music and the myriad of overpriced toys she just admited having just bought for herself.

To be fair, some people just don’t like their art being edited. I don’t really see anything wrong with that.
 
Don’t really buy the whole self insert thing either. All the pictures of Chrysalis I’ve seen from her are the bug queen being, well, the bug queen. Pissed off and evil.

I won’t rest easy until that queenpin disappears from the net.

IIRC, she said the Chrysalis picture was “just a joke” trying to make fun of both sides. Yeah, kind of don’t buy that.
 
And then we learned that she essentially uses Chrysalis as her self-described “avatar” (read: self-insert) and that she threatens people with DMCA take-downs if they edit her art.

I actually unfollowed Tara just before DWM broke out when it was brought up somewhere that she and I think her boyfriend were harassing someone on deviantart whilst using all the standard tumblr bullshit jargon. I didn’t want or support someone with that type of attitude, so I unfollowed both those blogs.
 
When she did that dumbass Chrysalis pic and posted it up, I wasn’t all that surprised that she was for it… but I was surprised at the way she was handling it. A fully developed woman like her being THAT shockingly immature boggles my mind.

That’s more moderation than censorship. Censorship is seeking the complete eradication of the material in question, which is what many of these people are after. It’s not that they don’t want it on Tumblr, it’s that they don’t want it to exist, period.

Even worse when they chase them off whole-cloth though. Gotta love how those types won’t realise the amount of artists they made quietly quit the fandom because of their dramawhoring and bullying despite never having confronted said artists. It’s not just the ones getting bullied by DWM who’ll wind up leaving!
 
 
@Princess♠Molestia Eh, a different sort of censorship though, and really even that doesn’t work out too well. The 90s showed kids could consume some really heady shit in their cartoons, not just lelrandumb slapstick and violence and flashy explosions and random tea party time. Even Disney put actual death into a few of their Disney Afternoon shows like Aladdin and Darkwing Duck.

I have to disagree there. I think censorship can serve a purpose in the correct hands. HOWEVER, should be regulated so it isn’t used as a powermad tool.
 
Example: Kids cartoon channel. In general, a perfectly decent use of censorship.

Yeah, kind of contradictory of them. Isn’t it? Art is supposed to be a way for people to express their opinions.  
However, it is also natural for people to think one opinion prioritizes over another. That is when you start seeing people stamp out other opinions, believing their own opinion matters and others don’t. That is called censorship. I know, it’s unfortunate.
 
The world will be a much better place without censorship.

And if you talk like that to them, they call you “Republican” as an insult and say the slippery slope fallacy is wrong.
 
Precedent is probably a better word.

That’s all good and well, but when artists side with a movement that is deliberately trying to prevent other artists from expressing themselves, I get more than a little peeved. They’re digging their own metaphorical graves.
 
Censorship movements never stop where they say they’re going to stop. Inertia carries them to keep pushing for more censorship, more restriction of artistic freedom, more book editing to remove politically incorrect thoughts, and eventually every single “artist” that sides with them gets subjected to the same treatment as the original targets.
 
You only have to look at history to see that. Time and time and time again, artists who side with freedom-restricting movements end up trampled by the very same movement - either they have to restrict their output to satisfy the demands of the movement, or they are kicked to the ground and consigned to the same pit as the others.
