And according to the movie People at Nintendo were willing to risk their lives or freedom for it.
Everyone wanted a piece of the Tetrimino.
Yeah, though there was alot of legal and Russian Government issues they had to go through just to get the game on Gameboy.
Yeah I believe it massively increases how much the kgb and ussr were involved. I believe in real life they did monitor the conversation But they never actually got involved. Definitely not to a point of a car chase

And it’s about how Tetris was brought to the world.

Yeah, I agree, it’d be better that way, and perhaps more true to the games.
Only other thing add is I think donkey Kong should not talk
That could work. :)
I guess a story that could combined the two could involved king k rool kidnapping DK and sending dk to some people in new donk city and having the story be about him escaping and trying to get back to the jungle
Edited
I know, though DK’s not that big. (Except in Captain N where he was a King Kong expy.)
I’d like a li’l of both actually, though maybe without Mario, (as he’d probably get all the attention) like DK has to get back to his island, or something. I doubt they’d use the Kremlings, and such, (otherwise, it’d just be like the cornball classic DKC TV series) so they’d probably just use human poachers trying to capture him, or something.
I was joking because they’re both because they both had big Gorillaz.
honestly I think a Donkey Kong movie should be based on the country games not the arcade game
That was Midway’s classic arcade game “Rampage,” (I wish I coud afford the 1up arcade cabinet) though they had to make George a white gorilla to differentiate him from other popular Kongs.
but they already did a Donkey Kong Movie with Dwayne Johnson XD
I’d rather have a road comedy movie with Donkey Kong on the run from bad guys, or something trying to capture him.
I think the real issue was a movie based on Tapper would be making it feel like a Tapper movie and not just a movie about a bar
Kids would’ve probably heard of it via “Wreck-it Ralph” which features said game. There have apparently been some rereleases of it.
I first heard of “Tapper” via the N64 “Midway Arcade’s Greatest Hits” game.
Hehe, I wonder about that. At this point, the only people who really know Tapper would be adults, and it’s not like you couldn’t come up with one of those silly PG-13 comedies that seem to be so popular in the spring.
I see.
That’s probably why video game movies are oftentimes negatively received by fans.
Even ones with a li’l story like Mario still need some liberties taken as they’re still a li’l vague on some things. If they didn’t take any iberties with the story, characters, or anything, the game wouldn’t translate at all to a big screen. Like they can’t just make a movie where Mario or Link don’t talk, and just yell “Woohoo!” “Yargh!” and such. And they can’t make a movie of Link just exploring dungeons, or helping people for an empty bottle.
Detective Pikachu seems to of managed to bridge that balance between taking liberties, and staying faithful to the source material though.

that was story mode and that was a game
Didn’t they already make a Minecraft movie kinda with Patton Oswalt?
And yeah, for something like Tetris, they’d have to take alot of liberties, and make new stuff for it, (apparently, the movie involves an alien invasion of some sort, kinda like “Pixels”) and we know how much gamers love straying from the original source material, or making up new stuff.
Edited
OK I probably should have said the full quote but when I said Tetris was a stretch I’m mostly man being a movie in general.
I mean there’s pretty much nothing to actually add that into your story. I mean upper something being upset that there’s going to be a Minecraft movie however Minecraft actually had stuff to adapt
And it’s debatable what movies are good. I liked movies like “Tommy Boy,” which critics hated, but I hated “Being John Malcovich” which critics loved.
