Honestly, though, Tetris seems too abstract for a movie, unless it’s about a competitive Tetris tourney, or about the game’s creation and spread.
 
Honestly, if a game movie has to be about the game itself, why not Tapper? Silly little rom-com centering around a bar, makes more sense than this shit.

In the words of Doug Walker, this is the film that likely made Charlie Sheen go insane. He had signed on to do this in 2002, and for over 10 years he had to keep getting called back for re-dos.

What’s possibly even more mind boggling is the cast of voice actors: Charlie Sheen, Eva Longoria, Wayne Brady, Hillary Duff, Christopher Lloyd, and Harvey Fierstein?! What, did they all owe a mob debt to the studio or something?

On a li’l more on topic note, Michael J. Nelson of MST3K, and RiffTrax fame tweeted about the new Tetris movie.
 

 
Surprised, he’s played “Tetris.” (Though, I found the “L” blocks more annyoing, sense they always give me the one I don’t want.)  
Also, that would probably be Rob’s best role sense the “YOU CAN DO EET!” guy from “The Waterboy.”

Oh, the animation is worse. Much worse. It looks like early stages/unfinished CGI that they just rushed out there. and the movie came out in 2012. Let that sink in. It wouldn’t even look good in 1992.

I think that’s ‘cause sense Gameboy games were the first Virtual Console games released on the 3DS Eshop, they didn’t bother to include that feature, thinking it wouldn’t be worth the trouble for selling $3-$4 games, or nobody would care/notice for some reason.
 
Apparently, some did care/complain, and that’s why they started including multiplayer options when they brought NES & Game Gear games to the 3DS.

And it’s actually a documentary about the history of the Soviet Union.

Though, frankly I would’ve prefered a “Donkey Kong” movie done like a adventure/road-comedy where Mario goes on an epic worldwide chase to get Pauline back from DK, or something.  
(Kinda like the epic 1994 DK Gameboy remake. Anyone play that?)

The Gameboy version is on 3DS Virtual Console right now. (Sadly with the multiplayer options disabled however… Which wouldn’t be impossible to recreate on 3DS, seeing how the NES & Game Gear games on 3DS offer multiplayer options.)
