I’d so be chasing you right now if I had any idea how to do an ascii ghost. :P

I didn’t mind Dirt Boss so much, but he definitely wasn’t one of my favorites, either. And yeah, if you put any more dots in your post, Pac-Man’s gonna come through. :P
Most likely.
…You know, I was always disappointed that Transformers Animated only ever had 3 Constructicons (DAMN YOU CARTOON NETWOOOOOORK!!!!!). Though I remember Youtube comments on an upload of the episode introducing Dirt Boss (which was also called “Three’s a Crowd…” that seems to be a rather popular episode title in Hasbro productions, or just cartoons in general) that were saying, “If we ever get Devastator, I think we know who’s going to be the crotch.” …They were, of course, referring to Dirt Boss. …Not many people liked Dirt Boss. …Actually, not many people liked the Animated Constructicons at all, now that I think about it (I didn’t think they were TOO bad, but I can see why people would find them annoying)… …BOY, that is a lot of ellipses…
Oh, I’m well aware that ignoring it doesn’t actually make it go away. But you have to admit it sometimes feels better to pretend it’s not there.
Also, official word from Hasbro is “there is no Dinobot combiner,” so that one might be genuinely retconned out.
I hate to say it, but those things actually DO exist. WM-R was likely just invoking the discontinuity rule (if you say it doesn’t exist, then you can pretend that it really doesn’t).
Ah. Sorry, just hard to tell sometimes, and you did bring up the other thing like it was real…
Kiss Players doesn’t exist. The same way Dragon Knight was the first Kamen Rider series ever brought over to the West.
If you genuinely don’t know, I could tell you, but in this case ignorance really is bliss.
Oh, hey, I didn’t even see them there until you pointed them out! Pretty sentai-esque.
I’m sorry, Kiss what? I’ve never heard of such a thing.
I say Megazord. You can see the Mane Six riding in the chest.
@WM-R
That’s right up there with Kiss Players on the list of things we try to pretend never happened.
Fun fact about Sven that ended up being a case of a lucky translation: when Sven died in the original GoLion series, the backlash against it was so strong that the show introduced Sven’s older brother, who literally looked exactly like Sven. Since Voltron claimed that he never died, they were just able to say, “oh, hey, Sven’s back.”
Odd, I actually watched “Third Dimension” as a kid (I’m a child of the 90’s, so I never saw much of the original Voltron, though that occasionally had reruns on Cartoon Network or some other channel), and I recall them using “torso.”
Not the first time ancient tech is somehow superior to the latest.
And, Holy Crap, I just realised that the Mane Six are actually riding in that costume’s windows like they’re Power Rangers! Or at least God Ginrai.
Ya, the new powers don’t make a lot of sensewhen you really think about it, it’s said it’s a power Voltron always had but was never unlocked, the lions are ancient yet they can be upgraded with new tech that is somehow not as advanced as them.
Well, that’s certainly different. Wasn’t Black Lion significantly larger than the others, though? On the other hand, I’m a Transformers fan, and one of my favourite teams is made up of a missile truck, a jeep, a tank, a helicopter and a fragging space shuttle that combine into a giant robot.
I think I might give Voltron Force a shot, then. Thanks for the info.
Also, Voltron gets new powers, as it goes on each lion can form the head and the main weapon for each is different.
Living with Allura’s cousin(but they didn’t say it was her cousin or anything) he shows up at one point.
And there are three cadets, and by the end two of them take over piloting a lion, one of them is Allura’s niece and one of the others is a somewhat fanboy of the team.
Stealth…Voltron. My only memory of The Third Dimension is King Zarkon somehow being a pretty high-ranked member of the Galactic Alliance or whatever they’ve got, and some dumb robot was the one giving orders to the Voltron team. Because there’s no way putting all your decision making power into one robot can go wrong.
But Voltron Force is in-continuity with the old cartoon? Sven is dead (or was he living with Allura’s cousin?), etc, etc?
Also Voltron Force ignores The Third Dimension.
And with good reason, Stealth Voltron….
Ya…
