I suppose body would be a lot more common to hear than torso. But I remember, even as a kid, complaining that “hey, green and red only make the arms, not the body!”
 
Were “The Third Dimension” and Voltron Force any good? I never tried to watch due to being afraid it might ruin my rose-coloured memories.
 
Transformers and Thundercats didn’t trigger that fear because they’re whole new universes, but I’d heard Third Dimension and Voltron Force are supposed to be in-continuity with the old show.

But it seems “body” made it past the original show, in “The Third Dimension” a CG sequel(for sorts) the word always used was body, and in Voltron Force as well.

So close to Voltron, you just had to say torso and not body.

So Rarity and Fluttershy form feet and legs, Rainbow, Applejack and Pinkie form arms and torso, and Twilight forms the head, eh?
