I love the fact that you caught a continuity error, where I just hadn’t fully plotted out how I was going to develop Peach’s family situation three years ago, and are used at work making excuses on my behalf. 😆❤️
As it is, the two of them live alone, though Ruby and Blueberry Muffin had intended to have a larger family originally. And she has not had a boyfriend since then, which is relevant in this episode.
As much as I am determined not to George Lucas my old comics, it might do to go back and fix the text of that. Was it just in that one spot where you noticed it?
Also, does that mean you were re-reading it? :)

Huh. Just noticed something. WWBA part 36, page 1, panel 2. Adagio mentions Peach’s parents in the plural. Guess that’s a retcon now.
And Peach used “they” instead of “her”. Hmmm, that’s a tricky one. Let’s speculate: perhaps Peach’s grandparents also live there (the house sure seems big enough for that) and Peach meant “they, the family, are there” to convey the idea that he and Dagi couldn’t just sneak in. Or perhaps at that time Peach’s mom had a boyfriend in residence, and he hadn’t made it clear to Dagi that wasn’t his father. I’ll bet we could help Stellarator think of other explanations…

One can think of Adagio being inwardly like a child right now. She and her sisters were nearly unchanged for centuries. Of course they’d be stuck in a mindset like that. But the spark of change can be fast or gradual. It can start out with something like laps and hair twirls. But then what if one day Adagio sees some old mare friend of Peach’s flirting with him relentlessly. She would not have Adagio’s ok to touch him, let alone fuck him. And then she could very well go into “He’s mine!” mode. Now that the Sirens are living normal-ish lives. They’re starting to absorb the culture around them. They avoided that by being nomads before. But now they’re planted in one place, starting relationships, enjoying the company of others, getting along with royalty, and learning to both relax and navigate modern life. They may experience more mental changes they themselves don’t understand yet. And jealousy could be among those emotions.
I see what you’re saying. Could be interesting to explore.

Oh certainly, I know you weren’t saying that. That was just a comment on my part. :)
And yeah, I’m trying to make sure to not nerf her in general. I want her to still be Adagio, badass and kind of prickly, but ABLE to let herself have feelings other than anger as well.

Nah. She enjoys rampant sex too much, and after countless centuries of just not thinking of sex as an exclusive thing, her mind wouldn’t even work like that.
On the other hand, make her picture Peach curled up in somepony else’s lap, with them toying with his mane and telling him what a good boy he is…THAT would certainly make her pretty uncomfortable. That’s THEIR thing.
