You are ranting about how much you hate Sprout on this upload and you commented obnoxious stuff on one of my artworks before. I know there is one Sprout fan who is a pain to others but you are being horribly cruel to me and others now and won’t even apologize for victim blaming and not having a heart. Are all Pipp, Trixie, and Misty fans as mean-spirited as you then?

I already gave up on Make Your Mark, remember? So why tell me it’s not for me anymore when I already know and told you that? I don’t want Sprout to be a mane character anymore in such a boring and poorly written show as the current state of Make Your Mark. If I’m going to watch a baby show, I’m going to watch an actually enjoyable baby show. I just want people who hate him to leave me alone and let me draw and love him in peace, that is all. I don’t want to debate any further so have a good rest of your day and go express what you love instead of obsessing over what you hate.

I’m not harassing everybody who expresses a positive opinion towards Sprout, I’m simply engaging in a debate. Unlike one of your fellow Sprout enthusiasts on DeviantArt who treats fanart of the Mane 5 + Misty as a personal attack to Sprout and whines like a baby about it.

Do you see me going on pictures of Sprout and rant about how I don’t like Sprout? If you’ve seen my DeviantArt, the only reason I’ve made posts on a Sprout fan is because he harassed and stole from one of my friends who really likes Misty. As well as other degenerate actions.

His personality is just like Trixie’s anyway

Trixie never destroyed someone’s home and has never supported racism. The only point where she got close was when she was wearing an amulet, which as we know from the Tell Your Tale episode “As The Misty Clears” ponies underneath the influence of amulets cannot be held fully responsible for their actions.

You need to accept that Sprout isn’t an easy character to like and that he’s probably never going to be a main character. You point out that his personality is similar to Trixie and guess what? Trixie was never a main character either, she didn’t appear in Season 2 or 4 of Friendship Is Magic and she has lots of fans compared to Sprout. Word of advice; If you’re watching exclusively for Sprout, then give up. It’s not for you anymore. Instead just wait until he shows up again, which I’m sure he will.

Sprout hasn’t “got the short end of the stick” he’s gotten what he deserves. In the video game he had his redemption arc, in Chapter 2 he was the final catalyst that prompted Hitch to try and ban magic and in Chapter 4 he was just there being a dick for half the episode. I’m sure there will be an episode about Sprout in the future of Tell Your Tale.

I think that’s enough Sprout, don’t you?

Being serious, shame that Sprout got the short end of the stick by the time the series premiered, it would’ve been cool to have him be a recurrent character and see whatever stories they might’ve cooked up for him instead of kicking him out of the restaurant and occasionally giving him soup and some appetizers. I really like Misty, but a dynamic between the two would’ve been a delight, I would’ve been up for that

When have I thrown a tantrum on a public site recently? And victim blaming by saying I’m an easy target is horrible. A long time ago I thought you were cool but you have no compassion at all it seems.

Sprout not being in G5 isn’t the only reason I hate it now. I used to like MYM and TYT but I think the plot and deoendency on G4 references are boring and the characters’ personalities became insufferable, especially Hitch.

“Constant Sprout posting” is an obnoxious thing why? You mean like your constant self ship OC posting too?

I like that Sprout is arrogant and selfish, but at least he isn’t as heartless as you are being to a real person right now.

It’s only disappointing to you because Sprout isn’t the focus of attention. Has it ever occurred to you that Sprout is simply not mane character material? In “Top Remodel” we can see that he’s still arrogant and selfish. Accept that his arc is complete and that G5 doesn’t (and in my opinion shouldn’t) have to revolve around your obsession over Sprout.

I mean his haters aren’t better considering I was attacked so much for loving him I was pushed to a suicide attempt and people still won’t leave me alone even 2 years after ANG came out.

You’re clearly making yourself an easy target by throwing a tantrum whenever someone says something even slightly negative about your precious Sprout.

I’ve been attacked before for taking my favorite characters too seriously and gotten my account banned because of it. But I’ve been making an effort to separate fiction from reality, or at the very least ignore what they have to say instead of making a big deal out of it. Have you thought of doing the same or are you going to continue to wind yourself up by taking every criticism about Sprout personally?

The constant Sprout posting, not liking anything after a ANG just because Sprout isn’t in it and throwing a hissy when someone makes a joke about Sprout is fairly obnoxious. Also you’re not the worst Sprout fan most of my hate is directed too.

It really is weird though how Phyllis has basically vanished from the series, especially since the other two pony races’ representatives (the ones that put Sunny’s picture frame back together at the end of ANG, so Alphabittle and Queen Haven) have become so prominent.

I think the reason for this is because the story takes place in Maretime Bay, and we saw that basically Sunny, Hitch and the others to a lesser extent became the new leaders there,

if they had to submit to an authority figure it would make some things difficult, like changing the festival in the first episode.

note that in blidlewoodstock alphabittle was ignored, as obviously the unicorns weren’t liking the idea of the festival so it would make sense for the unicorns’ main leader to oppose it, but as the writers didn’t want to deal with it nothing was done.

Honestly, I’m fine with his current role - popping up every once in a while, still a jerk but (I assume) on some level regretting what he did.

In regards to Phyllis, with Canterlogic apparently having gone belly up(Which is surprising as I assumed they could or did make other things like appliances and electronics. The earth ponies did have tv sets and the like before the reunification.), Hasbro probably feels that there isn’t much more they can do with her. She did show up in TYT as a harsh critic who was a threat to Mane Melody’s business(though she changes her mind after getting a good makeover) but since then she’s only had voiceless cameos.

I have the feeling that people within g5 treat sprout in the same way as the fandom, that is, it depends from person to person, and this resulted in his current situation, because if the writers don’t have a clear vision of the direction a character should take take they are not going anywhere.

That’s why sprout became a background pony, because people who don’t like him want to discard him while people who like him still want him there.

the reformation episode is the perfect representation of this, on the one hand we have a plot that is trying to get rid of everything related to sprout believing that it is something from the past that should be forgotten.
while on the other hand we have a plot that includes actively sprouting as a character who can work alongside the protagonists even with their flaws.

but in the end we don’t get a satisfactory answer he was neither completely discarded as his haters wanted nor was he finally included as his fans wanted he just exists.
