Didn’t care that much for the Babs Seed episode except for the song.  
Really didn’t like the end of the Discord episode either.

Y’know, I once responded to somebody asking the fandom what happened to the ‘love and tolerate’ thing they claimed with this beauty.

The code is in conflict with the fandom’s origins. The roots of the brony movement stem from 4chan, where bitching is like saying hi. I get what you’re trying to say, but unlike the others, Twilight has been around literally since the beginning. This was a surprise move, so we’re reacting the way we did at the beginning. Don’t worry, cooler heads will prevail, the episode will air, and then we’ll see what happens.

I did care about the reformation. It was so poorly handled, Discord was out-of-character most of the time, and the overall feeling of the episode was that it was rushed. If they pulled it out so well with Trixie, why they couldn’t with Discord? And this is the same feeling that I have with Princess Sparkle: its too soon, and it feels like a rushed and not thought out decision.

Discord’s reformation took some time to sink in, but I never disliked it. But basically, that’s because it was rushed. Not to take away from Fluttershy’s accomplishment (Fluttershy was great in it) but I think it would’ve been more digestible in one viewing if Twilight had a bit more of a role. Even just as an example Discord gave to make fun of the ponies.
 
Twilight was an autistic complete shut-in whose only friends were a teacher she was terrified of letting down in the slightest way, and a baby dragon she cared about but basically treated as furniture. And not the good furniture you only let people sit on when company is over. The couch you don’t even lift a cheek from to fart, because it would interrupt where you are in your book to bother. She had no actual friends, and no desire to have any friends.
 
Until for the first time she had some, and Nightmare Moon showed her what it was to lose them.
 
So, yeah, Discord’s reformation fits the show perfectly. But it could’ve used more time to drive home why.
 
Being mad that Twilight’s growing, that fits the show too. Nobody’s perfect. Not even Rainbow Dash. Or Twilight. She’s thrown a one-pony shitfit over being a day tardy with a letter that it makes “alicorn drama” look like one of Rarity’s melodramatic couch dives in comparison. But seven words give me good reason to think it will end well. “My Little Pony,” “Royal Wedding,” and “Princess Cadance.” All of those screamed, “this is going to be shit.” And none of it was. Oh boy, how far from shit it all was. Alicorn Twilight will turn out well too.

So far the MLP:FiM story is actually progressing, which I like.  
Unfortunately for a story to progress, change has to happen, and that will upset some people.  
If they continued this show for like 5 more seasons, and very little changed, I would find it boring.

Discords reformation was very VERY abrupt.  
He’s a total out of control plotting arsehole in one second and BANG reformed.

I kind of dislike Discord’s reformation, partly because I’m pretty sure it was just so he can use his powers to turn Twilight into an ailecorn.

Uh, the CMC was always supposed to expand.

I think it gives a little twist to the storyline.  
I mean, well, I can’t do anything about it, so why bother?

First Point: CMC related, so I don’t care.
 
Second Point: Was a little confused by the choice of Discord for the redemption episode, but outside if some speculating, stayed quiet until episode. Felt it was done well but a bit rushed. Two parter would have been ideal.
 
Third Point: Interested what direction this is going in, and am currently watching the shitstorm with bemusement. I may bitch and complain after an episode, but as a rule try to restrict myself to speculation beforehand.

You raise a strong point. my dad already has someone looking for a boot disk, and i’m pretty sure the Family Dollar nearby carries controllers for most new-age consoles.

Like said previously, twilight is mane character, so obviously change about her are more important, even more if they treat the slice of life structure of the show. Discord isn’t featured in many episodes so is detractor can just ignore it and babs didn’t join the cmc but started an equivalent club in Manehattan, plus as a new character, people had no bias about her to begin with.

It’s funny because I hate reformed discord (they kinda ruined his “essence of chaos” thing, also the episode was super rushed), but I have no problem with Twilicorn.

In that case, if your personal problems are letting this bug you more, then take a brake from ponies and deal with you personal problems, don’t let one effect the other.  
I’m actually have seen you talk about your personal problems being why your on edge with stuff in the fandom, but you need to step away and deal with them first.  
I’m having some trouble with job searching right now so I’m not spending a lot of time on but when I am I’[m not letting that get to me with something in the fandom, so for you to keep going like this then I all I can say is deal with what is important not what is trivial.

Just do what I do with PS3 controllers, get a long mini-usb cable and use it as a wired controller. Less convenient, but hey, if the controller’s perfectly working why fight it.

I’m just very stressed is all. not only is the subject at hand very touchy, but i’ve also got many personal problems egging me on. for one, my laptop has a bad system file, so i have to use my dad’s until we get a boot disk to back it up. also, by PS3 controller has stopped holding a charge, so we have to get a new one of those, too…
 
if you really want me to drop the subject so bad… yeah, i agree. i’m in no way prepared to confront anyone about this. i suppose i can stop typing, now…

In that case, shut up, people will complain, if you want to make a big deal of this like so many others are then wait for AFTER the episode has gone by, other wise your being just as big a baby are the ones your saying are butthurt over this.

I saw complaining about both of those things. I predicted people would stop bitching once the episode aired, and they did.
