There’s only been one or two instances in the series were RD has actively sought attention for herself, and she’s never shown any desire for attention from her parents in particular. Bow and Windy’s enthusiasm for Dash is perpetuated by their love for their daughter; it’s not the result or consequence of any specific actions on RD’s part (they cheer her on for literally anything and everything). Moreover, as darknessRising24 pointed out, the attention wasn’t even the main beef RD had with her folks in “Parental Glideance”: it was how disruptive they were being in celebrating her. Mind you, they literally shot fireworks at her at one point.

And I find it funny that you seem to believe RD enjoying the attention she gets up only warrants having her career interrupted.
RD did nothing wrong to warrant this. She was doing. her. JOB.

Maybe. But when you’re an attention whore, it tends to come back and bite you in the ass in the form of getting either more attention than you want or unwanted attention.
I do find it a little funny how people tend to forget or ignore that fact.

Except she never even wanted attention from her folks to begin with. She had been actively avoiding them as a matter of fact. It was through Scootaloo that Windy and Bow learned of their daughter’s acceptance into the Wonderbolts.
Except Rainbow Dash wasn’t complaining about getting a lot of attention from her parents, she was complaining because her parents were being disruptive at her job. There’s a major difference.
Let’s not forget the fact that once you start getting tons of attention, it’s not always going to be the exact kind we may want all the time.
This should always be your warning sign that you are being a complete and utter ass to others.
If you think to yourself; “I’m just pointing out how stupid …” - stop. Take a deep breath, and walk away.
Because this is always the point where we have to ban you. And they only get longer from here.

We’re not pretending things like that can never take place. In fact, Rainbow already received her comeuppance for attention hogging back in “Mysterious Mare-Do-Well” (albeit in a very mind-boggling and poorly-written way). As for this episode, she didn’t want the attention because it was coming from her parents (who have been enthusiastically cheering her on her whole life for literally everything little thing she’s done) and they were stepping way over the line and directly interfering with her work (they shot fireworks at her for crying out loud). She isn’t the one who needs to be knocked down a peg here.
That’s true, but this isn’t that moment for Dash. In fact, she wasn’t even begging for attention here; let’s not forget she had been actively avoiding her folks, and it was Scootaloo who finally informed them that she was now a Wonderbolt.
Look, here’s the bottom line: you can have whatever opinion you want on the matter, but that doesn’t mean you can belittle us and strip us of our opinions. We are entitled to them just as much as you are to yours.

I read through his comments, he basically explained his stance on the situation perfectly, and might I add, nicely. You on the other hand well, your very own comment describes you the best.
It’s not coming back to bite her in there ass, her parents are just being insensitive, plus we’re not pretending that it can happen to anyone, just that in this case she’s done nothing to deserve it.
And once again, you seem to be completely ignoring the fact that her parents were distracting her w&hile she was at work doing her job_, and part of her job is technically showboating for the audience? But of course you’ll ignore that in favor of again, bashing her more just because you hate her for some stupid reason.
You’re saying it like she’s done some horrible and speakable crime and that this is somehow comeuppance for it. That’s not even remotely the case, she’s doing her job, her parents interrupted her, so she had every right to get pissed off.
Not to mention the fact that this is the season 7 Rainbow Dash were talking about, the one who’s going through a ton of character development by this point and knows not to showboat too much. A fact you once again decided to ignore.
She wasn’t getting knocked out of her own little world, she was being distracted while doing her job.
The one who needs to get over themselves as you, your assessment of the situation is 100% false and at this point all you’re doing is talking down to anyone who disagrees you as if they’re objectively wrong and don’t have a right to their own opinions.

If anything, all the attention whoring that Rainbow Dash has done has finally come back to bite her in the ass. But of course, you’ll just keep trying to pretend that that kind of thing can never ever happen to anyone.
Face the facts pal, people who are attention whores in real life, or who think way too highly of themselves for that matter, eventually have that moment in their life where they get knocked out of their own little worlds and face the some times uncomfortable realities that of things they’ve done or brought about in some way.

That has to be the most accurate description of yourself I’ve ever seen.
We pretty much put forth the best interpretation of the scenario with the most logical explanation, it’s you who doesn’t want to accept the fact that you might be wrong.
They’re just trying to ignore points that others bring out and act like only what they say matters.
They don’t want to accept that things aren’t like in their perfect little worlds where they always get their way. They just see things only in their own version of it.
But talking to someone like cloudkicker is like trying to talk to some stuck up person who thinks they’re a higher class than you and acts like they better than everyone else.
As darknessRising24 already pointed out, it does become a one way street for public performers (or really anyone who engages with the public at large). As a performer, obviously you want to entertain and captivate your audience, but at the same time you can’t just let them disrupt your routine.

You don’t exactly have the right to talk, especially considering the way you just phraised your statement.
We never said that she doesn’t love attention, however in this case our parents were smothering her and disrupting her while she was at her job, she knows the difference between the two types of attention and therefore doesn’t lacking when said attention comes at the expense of her and her co-workers being interrupted while doing their jobs. So no, it’s not fitting that her parents gave her an embarrassing amount of attention considering the fact that it came at the expense of the rest of the ponies working with her.
For people who are performers, the attention does have to be a one-way street if you expect them to perform properly in front of millions of people. Something that you seem to ignore in favor of just bashing her.
Now I suggest you cut the holier-than-thou attitude and shut your Yap. At this point all you’re doing is embarrassing yourself.

Well guess what guys? Being an attention whore isn’t always getting the exact type of attention YOU want. So if anything, it’s very fitting that her parents give her a lot of embarrassing attention as well. That kind of thing isn’t always a one way street like you two would like to think.
