Right, well, I’d have thought Europeans and/or Americans also have a name for a dragon-horse. Currently, our tag for that is a “dracony”, however, as said, I suspect there’s a Western fantasy name for the species.

there are some saying”the qilin(kirin) is the offspring of loong(chinese dragon)”  
here are some saying”they never has blood relationship,qilin and chinese dragon is the equal status of the gods”  
some chinese myths also describe the descendants of the dragon and the horse,but be called “LongMa”,not”qilin”.
 
interestingly,although spike is not chinese dragon,  
but there have been many fanart described in spike and rarity has children

Really…? Honestly, from what I tend to find is that she gets shipped with Spike almost frequently, not as much as Rarity I’ll admit, but it’s there. It’s kinda up there with Starlight, Sweetie, and Thorax.

I’ve played Monster Hunter, so I’m well aware what a kirin is. Also, I think it’s a good thing she didn’t, since it gives us a non-pony design, witch is nice compared to most of the sapient species being at least half pony or a creature with four hooves.

He was born when Twi was a filly, so he wasn’t far behind, and may even be a little older than the CMC. I think we know the real reason, and all I’m saying is that Equestia has griffins, chimeras, and a Bugbear, so Spike having pony-dragon foals with Rarity or Sweetie isn’t out of the question.

No? There are arguments of how Old spike is, but the fact of the matter is, Spike is not in any school, he works a day job, and he takes on and is left with responsibilities no one would leave with a kid.
 
But the “age” thing is mostly just another weird excuse to not pair him with Rarity. She has never once said that she felt too old for him or that he was too young, the only thing she did was cry tears of happiness when he confessed his love for her and then she kissed him.

You kidding? Spike hardly ever gets shipped with Ember. People are too busy making her their “waifu” or drawing her doing the horizontal monster mash with humans to ship her with anyone.
