It’s right after the fight between Saitama and Tatsumaki, when she starts reminiscing about her past.

Oh yes, I forgot about that, hard to remember since I binge-read the whole thing in a day.

I hope when he appears and if ONE does that him and Saitama become legit buddies.
Blast: “Hey man”
Saitama: “Yeah?”
Blast: “You ever get that terrible feeling after you finish someone off in One Punch? Everything gets pretty boring
Saitama: “!!!THIS MAN GETS IT!”

A bunch of theories involving Blast came out when he was first shown, and it goes from alternate universes, to Saitama’s brother, etc.
To be honest, I’d love it if Blast was some dude who saw Saitama training in the park and maybe with a monster encounter, Saitama saved his life. He gets inspired to be a hero (for a hobby) and decided to do the training as well. He learned of the Hero Association and joined, climbing up the ranks easily to take the number 1 spot.
He’d be like Saitama but living in a more shonen-esque lifestyle.

I really don’t like Genos’ English VA. It’s really weird.
Everyone else seems pretty good, but his just off putting to me for some reason.
Pretty sure it has nothing to do with my complete bias about Genos being a badass. Surly not. :V

The problem that I have with it is that Genos sounds way too old.

I felt the same way when I first heard it. It’s too deep for my taste. I considered that, maybe, his strange enunciation might have been intentional as a parody of those old, bad Japanese movie dubbings. The fact that he doesn’t use contractions throws me off too (maybe a nod to Data from Star Trek?).

Does anyone know if the original soundtrack “One Take Man” is still being sold anywhere? Particularly somewhere that an American could buy it?

Has anyone been watching Murata’s drawing streams?
I see some new monsters that don’t remind me of anyone from the webcomic. One of them is gigantic and covered with monstrous skulls and is seen with Psykos. The other seemingly trashed Genos and has spiky hair. His hairstyle actually reminds me of Boros (though so far we’ve only seen him from the rear). Any idea of who these two are supposed to be? They seem to be important. I’m pretty stoked to find out who they are.

Still waiting for the eventual fight between the Heroes Association and the Monster Alliance.
And Murata’s version of Tatsumaki getting her ass kicked by the elite members. I mean, that part was one of the best parts of their scuffle, including Saitama’s fight and ZombieMan being ZombieMan.
Spoilers for those who only read Murata’s revised version or the anime.

apparently One Punch Man season 2 has been confirmed for next year.
Now my question is, how? I don’t think there is enough Manga material even for a season 2 already don’t you think?
I mean unless they are skipping stuff and or going off the ONE version now?

Murata’s going to have to work in OVERDRIVE to get it done.
Or maybe they’ll go off ONE’s version, and use it to promote the Manga, who has recently diverted rather noticeably from the webcomic.

Probably so. Like Murata is going to have some sleepless nights to catch up at this point.
But If they do go off the ONE version instead I hope they at least add in that awesome fight with Metal Bat.
Like Metal Bat got a lot of good fights in Murata’s version.
Also speaking of the Manga. what’s up with the new thing of calling monsters “Mysterious Beings” now?

Probably something related to the fact that some Mysterious Beings are former humans, and some, like Garou, aren’t Monsters at all.
Plus, it’s somewhat more scientific, I suppose most scientists are dying to get a monster on a slab.

Ah well that makes more sense.

Man I wonder when we’ll fined out What the hell that guy that killed super Jesus was and granted his powers?

Murata is nowhere near finished redrawing the Garou arc, so season 2 isn’t happening until that happens. Hopefully, this means that he’ll wrap up drawing all of this extra material soon and get back to the webcomic story line. I’m also tired of all these stupid rumors about season 2 being put out by people who obviously haven’t read the manga or webcomic. No, Saitama isn’t losing his powers, Boros isn’t coming back, Saitama’s not fighting Sweet Mask, and there is no time travel.

Ah just to the thread I was looking for
I’m curious to know but why is Saitama seen as a better character than Superman?
I’d like to know given how well received OPM has been and how people(including myself) find Supes kinda boring given how OP and preachy he can be.
Also I like Genos but why does he get his butt kicked all the time? :S

Probably because Saitama is more down-to-earth and faces more relatable struggles. Sure, his morality center is rather close to Superman, but in general he’s just a really chill guy who doesn’t take any of the overblown flamboyant figures that recently entered his life seriously, and his problems tend to be somewhere around “how do I pay the bills”, “how do I get the best deals at the Supermarket”, “I am depressed because nothing in life really excites me anymore”, wereas Superman is more akin to “how do I live in a world made out of cardboard when I have the powers of a God.”
It also helps that Saitama in general has more vices than Supes, who tends to be too perfect sometimes. Saitama is lazy, complacent, disrespectful, and in some occasions, rather selfish, though not to an extent where he’s a downright jerk, he’s just your regular guy who’s a superhero for fun.
>Also I like Genos but why does he get his butt kicked all the time?
Probably because of the Worf effect to drive home how strong the monsters Saitama kills are. Plus, it makes us hate the monsters even more and make their eventual anticlimactic deaths even more satisfying.
Though in more recent Manga chapters, Genus has become considerably more competent, being able to actually win several fights, as well as clean up an entire city filled with demon-to-dragon level monsters very quickly.

Actually, he only fought two confirmed demon-level monsters (Face Ripper and Awakened Cockroach) during the tournament that Saitama was a part of. The other monsters had unmentioned disaster levels, but were probably only tiger or less given how easily he took them out. Then you have Gouketsu, who seemingly defeated Genos with ease after Awakened Cockroach retreated. I’m guessing he’s at dragon-level for that reason. Genos had not been able to deal with dragon-level threats until very recently in the webcomic (after his newest upgrades).

Well, Genos was dragging ass by the time Gouketsu found him, so it’s hard to say with certainty whether or not Genos could’ve taken him on
