M.A.Larson’s OC is a bat pony. Do you really expect him to do something great for Celestia as he did for Luna? Well, have fun waiting for it.
But he can and in fact, he actually tried. He wrote a decent amount of dialogue for Celestia in Amending Fences having a heart to heart conversation with Twilight about trying to repair a relationship that unfortunately had to be cut for time constraints.
 
Seriously? Awww, that’s a damn shame. :(

Yeah, If I remember well, Twilight was so down that she went to Celestia’s at the middle of the night to tell her she wanted to give up her role because of what she did to Moondancer, but Celestia shares her experience with Luna. She also implies that she’s also gradually rebuilding her relationship and trust with Luna or something. I think what he stated can be found here somewhere. It was an interview.

A well made Celestia episode says a thousand words when it comes to shutting up haters, but I am not starting this.
 
Though it would help to put the depiction of the royal sisters’ relationship from Celestia’s perspective in the episode, I am more interested in an episode showing the sisters’ daily life without mentioning the whole Nightmare Moon event or anything related to Luna’s post-return mental recovery. This is because I want the appearance of the royals sisters to disconnect from “big events” and their remaining effects. A light-hearted episode of the sisters playing like teenagers, for example, would be ideal (for me, at least).
 
After all, I am into Cutelestia and Lunabetes more than their other aspects, probably because I seldom see them being carefree and purely adorable in the show.

I already know this.  
But Celestia was with Cadance and Twilight when each had their own ascensions.  
Is Celestia’s presence needed in order for a pony to ascend into an alicorn state?  
We don’t know the answer, but saying ‘no’ brings up a lot more questions then.  
I’d like to think ‘yes’, so whether she does so directly or provides some kind of catalyst or revelation, she’s still part of the ritual (afaik).

While we’re on the subject of Celestia, I kinda have this question that has been boggling my mind for quite a while: What happened to the king and queen?
 
Now, hear me out, folks; Sonic SATam mentioned Sally Acorn’s father. Granted, they say it like he’s probably dead, but they mention him. In MLP? They mention no mother and father of Celestia or Luna. Wouldn’t that technically make them… queens? Maybe they just stuck with the “Princess” title because it sounded cute, I don’t know.

Celestia and Luna are technically queens but they’re stuck with the princess title because of Disney’s unspoken law about the “differences” between princesses and queens.

Another idea for a Celestia / Twilight episode: have Celestia confront Twilight about her massive anxiety problems towards her.  
Twilight Sparkle has always been too stressed out and over-eager about doing perfect in whatever Celestia asks of her, and this has caused problems in the past.
 
I would want some positive bonding too, of course, but I feel like Twilight’s anxiety with Celestia needs to finally be confronted, and hopefully laid to rest.

…and I thought her pushing Ivan Reitman out of the Ghostbusters reboot was despicable!
 
Geez, between her, Avi Arad, and Tom Rothman; Sony seems to be the hot zone for stereotypical Hollwood executives.

All the good Celestia scenes (if they even do exist) are going to be the first ending on the cutting block. Don’t even start to hold out hope. It’s McCarthy. We need more (uninteresting) sea ponies. And Cadance! Don’t forget Cadance!
 
I still want a real Celestia episode much more for season seven.

I have no idea who Amy Pascal is but if she has a problem with Celestia, then she is an automatic c-word.
 
Pascal is someone that works at Sony. No idea in which division or department, though.
 
 
Amy Pascal actually has issues in more than one way, if that mail that got leaked was veridical. It’s like she was drunk when she wrote it or something. She also suggested doing something like The Smurfs movies with actual actors and all that jazz. Complete nonsense. Hasbro did good in getting the fuck outta there.
 
However, there’s one thing that she said that sounds somewhat reasonable, is that this movie seems waaay too much directed towards the show audience, in the sense that, it’s going to be confusing for the people that don’t watch the show. Because apparently one of the goals was to also attract the more mainstream audience to watch the movie. And from what we could see, the script Pascal read had a lot of continuity elements from the show that is also linked to Celestia and Luna’s background and they were going to finally establish an alicorn lore.

Remember the Journal of The Two Sisters? well, the reason so many people disregard what Josh Haber wrote in The Crystalling about Flurry Heart being “the first born alicorn” (which by the way can still be “fixed” by explaining she’s the first born alicorn in Equestria), is because it somewhat contradicts the journal, which implies Celestia and Luna were born alicorns and that they come from some sort of land/realm of alicorns. Well, the movie beta script seemed to follow that, and that the main antagonist was in fact one of those alicorns coming from that place.

Yeah, I too think that Josh Haber made a mistake in the Crystalling’s script and that Celestia and Luna are still pure born alicorns.  
Oh my god, I hope the final draft of the movie script keeps that!

I’ve only seen episode synopsis up to 21 so far though. That leaves 3 more episodes.  
And yeah, the finale too, but let’s face it, this season finale is far more likely about putting the whole Starlight redemption arc to rest. Tho I wouldn’t be too surprised if she (and/or Twilight) and Celestia have a little talk.
 
I’m glad to hear that Celestia’s screentime and importance in the movie has shifted from ‘none or maybe’ to ‘some or lots’ with the move from Sony to Lionsgate.

No need to fix: the Journal makes it crystal clear that Celestia and Luna are at least several decades older than Equestria itself. They could not have been born there (alicorns or not), as it didn’t even exist when they were born.
 
There’s no solid proof in the Journal regarding Celestia and Luna’s pony type at birth.
