Too bad I wasn’t able to take advantage of the sale.

I thought that this Steam sale might be the first one, I’m not getting anything. Instead, right at the end, I ended up being way too tempted by a few games, even though I don’t think I should get more. The five games I got three days ago were supposed to be the only ones, but I got Legend of Grimrock 2 and the first episode of King’s Quest yesterday.

I just found out Autodesk’s engine is bundled with Maya LT, which is $30/month. That’s a steal, gg Autodesk.

Tempted to get that too ‘cause it looks awesome. Though I have no problem with cartoony. First space sim I played was Wing Commander 4. Gave me a bit of a taste for that stuff. Also have Starlancer but that game is tough.

Yeah, it’s the only FF where I easily hit level 100. Then the final dungeon has enemies that cast lvl. 5 Death. Fun times.
 
And I actually had little complaint about the game, save for the junction system. I like to spam heal magic so having a limited supply from hard to get places was a bit annoying. Game has a good sense of humor though.

That how they started, back in 6. You can also cast Aura to greatly increase the activation rate even at full health.

Man, so many bosses in FF5 that you can cheese with Level 5 Death…

Too bad it’s a pain in the ass to obtain, because in order to obtain it as Blue Magic from an enemy that uses it, your Blue Mage party member has to be affected by it AND still be alive at the end of the battle. It’s a similar thing with a lot of the other Blue Magic abilities that you can only get in the early parts of the game from super rare, super tough enemies, but if you can manage to get them, it makes later parts much easier. Like getting Aqua Breath (which is actually non-elemental in V, but does 8x the regular damage against desert-themed enemies) from the Dhorme Chimera. That enemy is brutal at that stage of the game, but if you can manage to get Aqua Breath, it makes the Sandworm boss later much, MUCH easier.

I didn’t really find getting it very hard. Also I don’t think that you need to be alive at the end of the fight, but maybe they changed it in the GBA release.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure it was like that. And you DID have to have your Blue Mage character be the one to get hit by the Blue Magic spells in V in order to learn them, as opposed to Strago’s Lore magic in VI where he just had to see them (meaning if he had the Blind status effect he couldn’t get them).

in 9 you had to have Quiena EAT the foe that had the spell and some of the really good ones were from bosses.

Not to mention Quina can’t even eat the enemies unless they’re down to less than 25% of their health.

Expect a bit of a learning curve for a day or two (irl time, not game time of course, lol), but after that it feels natural like nothing else.
 
And yeah, absolutely beautiful. Fortunately, you can stare at the sun, here XD
 
The combination of Supercruise and the 1:1 galaxy make it feel like it’s in a league of its own for freedom, and all the choices of professions even reinforce that.
 
Some people find it boring because it doesn’t have railroads, though. You write your own story. Contracts can guide you along and give you a taste of things at first.

Kingdom Hearts 2.8, Persona 5, and Final Fantasy XV…

I’ll be perfectly honest with you: Armor for the most part is pretty useless since it doesn’t reduce all that much damage. In general, you’ll want the armor with the highest poise possible that doesn’t encumber you too much, with the except of Blightown, in which you’ll want to have armor with the highest Poison resistance possible, for obvious reasons.

What he said. Armor is usually useless, except for fire/poison/curse resistance and fashion souls.

It’s fucking bullshit. If you equip armor that’ll make you get hit twice as often, then it should allow you to take twice as many hits.
