People hail 4 as being the one that started the whole “having a plot” aspect of the series, but thing is, 2 did it first, and in my opinion: better.
 
I mean, the gameplay is borked, but the story is actually pretty good.

I’ve been told it’s 60 hours before things open up. I don’t know about you but playing a game I don’t like for 60 hours on the off chance it’ll get better? No thanks.

That’s something else, apparently ff8 scales enemies to squall’s level and only his. So basically if you spend the whole game with squall dead, your party will destroy anything in their path.

Fuck off, why can’t it be good NOW? I get a game taking a while before it starts going. But thing is, games on a slow boil generally take only about half an hour before they get going, NOT A FUCKING WEEK’S WORTH OF GAMETIME.

worst FF I played was 8.

To be fair, ff1 had a surprisingly complex story as well just not a very involved one. Like, I think the only character who had any substance at all was garland.

It’s been a while since I played XII, and I don’t think I got very far, but what’s everyone’s opinion of it  
Besides the story being the original Star Wars trilogy

It’s decent. It doesn’t reach the heights of the series, but it’s still pretty fun.

I liked it but never managed to finish it. It’s been a while but I remember going into an area for the next story mission and everything just frikken curbstomped me. I gave up after a while becasuse I didn’t feel like grinding.

Ya know that feel when you need like 3 seconds to not even bother with a top ten list cuz their first entry is so fucking stupid they disqualified themselves from the big kids table? now i won’t call Seifer the second coming of Kuja, but he’s at least better then Sephiroth in terms of depth, sure Seph is cooler but still, Sifer and Ultimicica don’t belong on a top ten worst list,

Friggin chrono trigger has you jumping into a time portal in like 20 minutes. Then fighting demon nuns, going back to the present, getting arrested, going to the future and then turns into Japanese fallout within an hour or two of that.

Huh, didn’t expect you to love Kuja.
 
But yeah, I agree that Seifer IS an interesting character. Thing is, deep down, he just wants to be a hero, somebody that people respect, and somebody who can keep order, but he’s so self-absorbed and impulsive that his attempts to be a hero just keep blowing on his face, to the point where he actually ends up turning into a deranged villain.
 
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if the fights against him being easy was intentional, he’s supposed to be Squall’s equal but he’s just so deranged that he can’t even fight properly anymore.

I do want to play 12 again

Why is 12 the only one that hasn’t been re-released  
There’s 20 different versions of the 2d games, a steam release for the ps1 titles, the 13 trilogy, the 10/10-2 hd versions
 
But 12 gets shit all
