Video Game General 2: Definitive/Remastered Edition

Yeah, it’s nice Shadow is finally getting love, and Sega/gamers are finally getting over the “Sanik haz 2 many characters” stigma.

It’s probably the closest we’ll ever get to a Shadow the Hedgehog remake. Which granted, actually lacked any Shadow the Hedgehog 2005 stages, (except the final boss) so I feel they ignored Shadow’s Legacy a little…

And before someone says it, you can’t say it was because “Shadow was a bad game,” because they still included new stages from Sonic 2006, and Sonic Forces, two equally controversial games. And granted they made them more enjoyable now, so they definitely could of made a random stage from Shadow 2005 and improve it too.

It might be because Shadow levels were built around making a moral choice and branching off of it. The devs may have been reluctant to include branching paths for it or cutting content for a remake level.

They could of just had the neutral path, where you don’t have to do anything, or they could redesign it a little like they did the 2006, and Forces stages. It wouldn’t of been hard honestly.

The Princess and the Dragon route was perfect in how it flips the script. The heart to heart with the Princess was good enough, but then seeing your own body coming down the stairs with the pristine blade was definitely intimidating. And got really tense when you figure out that Opportunist was in control.
