Hard for him to drag his party down if he’s dead. The infighting when he dies scares me.

I personally think the GOP is nothing without Trump. The power vacuum is going to tear the party apart, and many of Trump’s base are going to tune out of politics.

My evidence for this is how far ahead of Harris Democratic Senate candidates ran. That suggests a significant number of Trump voters showed up to vote for Trump and left the rest of the ballot blank.

Supposedly. If the House continues to fight amongst themselves it’s possible the inauguration gets delayed.

Trump’s going to be president anyway supposing nobody has the balls to hand him a paper saying “14th Amendment, traitor” on Inauguration Day and walk over to swear in JD Vance as VP then as POTUS in front of Trump, but before it happens the House needs to certify the results on Jan 6. And before that can happen the House needs to select a Speaker by Jan 3. Considering the Rep majority is so slim that they literally need every member to vote on a single person, we are looking at a non-zero chance that we don’t have a Speaker in time and thus gets delayed, election results don’t get certified in time and thus is delayed, and Trump won’t be inaugurated at the designated time thus that also getting delayed.

Good because MLK Day also falls on that day this year. If it gets delayed, it won’t fall on the same day as MLK Day.

In one of his rare broken clock moments, Trump released a statement on Jimmy Carter’s passing that actually managed to be respectful for once (so, more likely than not, he had someone else writing it for him).

MAGA Voters don’t deserve sympathy.

Don’t feel bad for laughing at them whenever they realize that they fucked up.

They need to suffer, don’t offer assistance and just focus on taking care of yourself and those you care about.

Folks who didn’t vote at all due to frustration with both parties are kinda annoying but at least they knew to not directly support Orange Shitler so I’d lend em the occasional helping hand if possible.

I miss the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street. They weren’t nearly as crazy as MAGA and the ultra-progressives of today (whether we’re still calling them SJWs or the woke or whatever they want to be called now.)
