Silent Hill Thread

So, apparently South Park is a part of Silent Hill.  

Do people give the series shit over it having a cult?

Don’t think so, never heard anyone complain about that part.

That’s what I hear most people complain about, like years ago when my younger brother was into Silent Hill, he often said that “cults aren’t scary, because humans aren’t scary,” which is bullshit. Online reviews I’ve seen also said that, though I think most of them admit that’s personal tastes.

I mean, in the first game they burned a little girl alive to summon their god.

I’m thinking more of SH3, where the woman goes “I know I’m going to Hell for this, but I want everyone else to enjoy paradise.” In any other setting, that would be considered heroic.

Claudia did kill and got a lot of people killed for her ‘paradise’ though.
 
And she ate a godfetus that got puked up seconds before and then gave birth to a misshapen godthing.
 
Her goal might be heroic but her actions are anything but that.

Dino Crisis. It’s Resident Evil but with dinosaurs.

Played a bit of SH3. Heather poked fun at James and defeated the penis boss and decided to continue it another day.
 
On a side note, I love how in SH2 and 3, your character looks at interoperable stuff, though I heard Resident Evil 2 did that first.

Great game. Just wish 2 got a proper sequel because it ended on a horrible cliffhanger.

Played a bit of SH3, took me about an hour to get through the station and the sewers.
 
Silent Hill brand transportation: We’ll get you somewhere, where and your condition are up in the air.

Forgot to mention that tiny Pendulum are adorable.

SH3 is probably my favorite SH game, and Heather is probably in my top 5 best female protagonists.  
I really like the contrast of her extroverted cutscenes and introverted thought lines in the game.  
Did you ever beat it?

Years ago. I mentioned before that SH3 is my favorite as well, and Heather is a character I want to comfort after everything is said and done.
