Yeah, I always wondered if that was intentional, or just reused a model to cut back on disk space.
 
That’s why the fog is there; to help with loading and now show some obvious things like the lake hotel being a JPEG, but it add such a eerie sense of foregoing as “what lies in the thick, dense fog?”

I’m aware of the reason for the fog, and why its absence in the HD collection was problematic.
 
And I’m sure it was intentional, since the video showed that the body in the jail cell was unique, meaning that they could just used that if it wasn’t suppose to be James.

Some mysteries are better left unsolved.

I suggest watching the video, since it holds some very neat info (and a few funny secrets).

I also forgot how awkward tank controls are when you pick them up after not using them for months/years.

At least SH2 allows you do use the C-Stick with it.
 
I played Onimusha 1 and 2 with the D-pad.

SH2: A few select number of people with “moments and events” in their life are stuck in a nightmare version of Silent Hill, and each experience their own nightmare base on said events, while people without any dramatic drama are unfazed, like children who have no reason to see the nightmare world. Even DS3 added to it with the infamous line “So they look like monsters to you?”
 
SH Home: Anyone can be in the nightmare world in any location remotely associated with Silent Hill, and they all see the same things.

I think only Officer Wheeler doesn’t have anything to do with the cult though. Everyone else is involved one way or another.

I don’t think the children would count either, since it’s their parents that are involve, not them, so in the least Elle wouldn’t be their, and unless the town is only made of the four families and that one guy, no one else should be affected, be we know they are due to the number of disappearances, and I’m pretty sure it’s implied that the “Silent Curse” or the Order are behind the disappearances, rather than that they are unaffected by it. Homecoming is trying too hard to be the movie, and it harms it.

I played a bit of SH2 (from shortly after meeting Marie to entering the Museum), and there’s a few things I want to say. One, I wish James would interact with the overwold doors more, even a simple “this door is broken shut” would be nice. Two, I love that you’re unlikely to run out of ammo if you explore (+50 handgun bullets and +100 shotgun shells), which will be great end-game.

If you enjoy that, give Parasite Eve 2 a try. Aya comments on pretty much everything she sees in the game world.

God, I miss PS1/PS2 era horror games. Can’t think of any recent games that go above and beyond when it came to puzzles like SH. Hell, I even miss the fetch quests and puzzles of old RE.

Yeah. Honestly, I’m just waiting for Indy devs to move on from nes/snes style games to ps1/n64 style games.

I think the cheapness of NES/SNES is why it’s more appealing (plus nostalgia).

I saw it years ago, and forgot about it. From what I remember, it was all atmosphere, no combat.
