nah. Religiously devoted fanbase -> more content -> more money. They hyped up everyone on g5 and called their chips there. Kinda lost (cause g5 comics are ass) so this series remains as a buy in. (wihich again could be ass this si hasbro half this show is ass)

Well, I always thought that she was on the kind of probation where if she went back to her old tricks then she’d be sent straight to Tartarus like Cozy Glow was in S8 after explicitly expressing her intent to offend again.

They equate forgiveness with forgetting 90% of the time and even if it was probation it was legitimately equivalent to at worst a slap on the wrist seeing as no actual consequence or reprimand was made outside of “You’re sorry, try again.” For both Starlight and Discord.
Starlight is understood-the utter incompetence and two faced action preceded by writing bending over backwards to never address the failings of multiple people who’ve caused equal if not worse damage out of convenience os where Starlight and Discord are despised.
I don’t care if god vouches for him, I’d curse Discord out and his friends regardless of their legacy or intent purely because they lack any sense of responsibility or proper care for anything around them when it’s not going to make them look good.
Hell even if the new comics I feel no sympathy for Discord-he got a taste of what he’s undoubtedly put hundreds of thousands through in a dozen ways and hadn’t learned a single thing in thousands of years.
Theres a point of “Why should I be the bigger person when you clearly can not do the same?”
Exactly. You cannot dismiss Discord’s jackyayery to chaotic quirkiness. That does not excuse him sending Twilight’s friends on a wild goose chase so he could be a menace to the school of friendship. Nor does it excuse him bringing three dangerous criminals together and abusing them to ensure they work together to attack Twilight knowing fully well they’d lose at best or die at worst (as seen with Sombra). The only thing that comes close to a fitting punishment for him is his immortality as he can never see his beloved Fluttershy again. Even then, it will never make me forgive him as the ends he wanted NEVER. EVER. Justify the means.

Ignorance does not equate to innocence-thats why manslaughter is a thing.
More so the problem is usually the amount of effort put in with Starlight and the fact that had Twilight dragged her to any of the other timelines, Starlight would not have backed down.
There was zero real effort put forth for people with actual issues more complex then abandonment issues.
Which is a point against reformative action being the basis of their choices.
They spent effort where it was easy(and by chance manipulative) and refused to put forth any where actually required, alongside multiple Deus Ex Machina’s that put the actual structure of their world into question often being used as justification for doing nothing/turning a blind eye.
