I concur with you about the show’s quality. But I also think no harm would be done in ending FiM at 9 seasons.
I disagree. And I´m surely not the only one.
Depends on who you ask, but some would say there already is. Including me.
There don´t have to be 29 seasons but at least a few more (maybe even a second movie as the finale).
And there wouldn´t be a loss of quality.

Yeah, I think that MLP deserves to end while still a good show, rather than after every worthwhile plot has been wrong from it and it no longer has potential for providing good stories. I don’t want my last memories of this show to be that it was too used up to go on anymore.
As long as all major plot threads are tied up, all the important characters’ stories are given completion and the major questions about the show’s characters and world are answered, I’ll be happy.

As long as they wrap up certain things for certain characters, I wouldn’t mind the show ending after season 9.
FiM has already reached plenty of milestones in its time. Moreover, ending the FiM while it’s still popular is a good move, especially since a new series for the franchise is already in the works. After all, would you want FiM to end on a high note or fade into obscurity?
And you you are missing my point. 9 seasons are not nearly enough to reach the series full potential.
It is also still very popular so there is no good reason to end it.
You’re still missing the point here. Zharkaer isn’t arguing about how much story material is left; he’s simply pointing that ending FiM with season 9 wouldn’t be “too soon”. And that’s certainly true; nine seasons is an incredible amount of air time for any television program, let alone a cartoon targeted at young females.
