The proper outcome of this case would’ve been the looney bin, not prison or release into the wild. Most people at a Chris-level of crazy end up committed. Chris occupies some middle area where it’s clear she’s not all there, yet not enough of an immediate threat to himself or others to warrant the insane asylum (at least as far as law nerds are concerned).

The very real issue many like me will take from this. Is the precedent the decision to let him off might entail.

If this becomes a thing. It will say a lot about the system.

Stuff like this will only embolden others.

I am also suspecting the court got pressured by certain interest groups to drop the case. They did say that this was a “sensitive” case.

Common sense, self awareness, and responsibility are all completely foreign concepts to the guy.

Even if people don’t do anything or try to make everything as idiot proof as possible. He somehow will find a way to pick the worst possible choices to get at things.
It’s also whenever people don’t pay much attention to him is when he does drastic shit. So it’s kind of hard to “leave him alone”. He’s good at finding ways to fail.
The trolling, enabling, and weenery, will only stop when they have nothing left of this guy to fuel their gravy train.

…but the trolls absolutely provided encouragement to escalate his antics (including transitioning to her antics), as you point out.

I’d go so far as to call the parental coddling as an effect from the root cause: a refusal to admit there was anything wrong with their son.

The most scary thing about this I would say is really the how the system just let someone like him off just like that.
Someone who just commited a heinous crime on his own family member.

This sets a dangerous precedent.
That’s the real concern.

Trolls weren’t the ones that showed the seeds. They just nurtured the worst of him. He was already an entitled shit from the long before his discovery growing up in a shit environment. If the Megan Saga, his College era Attraction Signs, scuffles with the college administration, and the Game Place shenanigans weren’t things to go by.

Besides, most of the things he did in his life were not due to the actions trolls on contrary to popular perception. But those who enable him. It’s impossible to keep him out of trouble. He has a nack for finding trouble himself. And Weens who exploit his notoriety for their gains will inevitably try to keep their gravy train going one way or another.

It’s disgusting.

He’s a shitty fucking person who committed disgusting acts; but leave him alone people, because if you people keep harassing him that might cause him to do another horrible thing.

He’s also back on the internet as of late.
Most of his activities involve him playing Pokemon Go and the games he just bought for the Switch.
