Sounds kinda static. Like, how are you going to play this in when 1. Bastions can’t move and 2. Torbjorns are definitely not gonna move from the Bastions. There’s nothing to push them forward.

My friend and I are currently working on a mode. The working title right now is “Bastion Pokémon”.
How it’s going to work is:
How it’s going to work is:
- Each team has 3 Torbjörns and 3 Bastions. Each Torb has an assigned Bastion, based on slot position.
- Bastions are forced into turret form upon spawning, and they cannot exit it or use ultimate.
- Torbjörn cannot use his rivet gun or any of his regular abilities. Instead, when he presses Shift, his assigned Bastion will teleport to and then be thrown from his position, on a 5-second cooldown.
- Torbjörn can heal his Bastion with his hammer, but can’t do much damage with it.
So far we have the Bastion throw mechanic and the heal mechanic more or less working. We haven’t yet decided whether it’s going to be elimination or deathmatch, but either way it should definitely be interesting.

I’m totally going to make a mode where it’s 1v1 but your camera follows the other player instead (probably in third person because I don’t think I could properly do first person).

Jeff and his team are trying to make it as user-friendly as possible, but admits that it’s a “power-user” feature; that is, one you’ll really get the most out of if you know your way around how game programming works.

Just to clarify, Blizzard isn’t just handing players the keys to Overwatch. They’re opening up an entire garage and popping open Overwatch’s hood to tinker with it however we like.
However, just like deep customization of your car requires a working knowledge of how the engine and other internals work, doing anything really cool or crazy basically requires you to know a bit of game-logic and how programming works.

The possibilities are almost endless!
