Glass Sight's My Baeπ
Acker Bilk - Stranger On The Shore, I Want To Know What Love Is (Foreigner cover), Above The Stars, To All The Girls Iβve Loved Before, Longfellow Serenade, Ska Face, Arthurβs Theme, Moonlight Tango and Burgundy Street
From a (Retooled*) 2001 compilation CD of music by the late** English (From Pensford, Somerset) Jazz/Easy Listening clarinetist/bandleader, βThe Greatest Ofβ.
Fun fact: His biggest hit, 1961βs βStranger On The Shoreβ, became the first hit to top both the UK and US charts simultaneously, as well as the first number one single in the US by a British artist. During the 1988 Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame induction of The Beatles, Mick Jagger namedropped it as one of the few big things that was coming out of the UK at the time before the British Invasion bands such has the Beatles and Stones came along.
*This compilation, which I bought at a thrift store, seemed to be full of mostly 80s recordings by Acker Bilk, and the version of βStranger On The Shoreβ on it was marked as a re-recording. To balance this out, I replaced the version of βStrangerβ with the 1961 original, and mixed some of the 80s recordings (some of which are named above) with his 60s recordings, as well as one from 1971. I know re-recordings and βmore recentβ tunes were a common practice on compilation CDs at the time, but cβmon! Gotta have a little authenticity here!

2nd single that beats the last one. Iβm getting a few thrash vibes most from Kreator.

Paul McCartney - The World Tonight, If You Wanna, Somedays, Calico Skies, Flaming Pie, Heaven On A Sunday and Really Love You.
From the English (From Liverpool) singer/songwriter/musician/ex-Beatleβs tenth solo album, βFlaming Pieβ (1997).
Coming off the heels of The Beatlesβ Anthology project, this amazing album was released with an exciting cast of characters, both family and friends of Paul. These include his late wife Linda McCartney on backing vocals, his son James on guitar, his Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr on drums, ELOβs Jeff Lynne on guitar and keyboards, George Martin on orchestral arrangements and a collaboration with Steve Miller (of the titular Steve Miller Band) on the song βUsed To Be Badβ. This album is also the last to feature the aforementioned Linda, who passed away from breast cancer a year after the albumβs release. Elsewhere on the album, Paul
dedicated the song βLittle Willowβ to Ringoβs ex-wife Maureen, who passed away in 1994.

Fun fact (Taken from Wikipedia): The title Flaming Pie (also given to one of the albumβs songs) is a reference to an anecdote that John Lennon told in a humorous story published in magazine Mersey Beat in 1961 about the origin of the Beatlesβ name: βIt came in a vision β a man appeared on a flaming pie and said unto them, βfrom this day on you are Beatles with an A.ββ

The Incredible String Band - El Wool Suite, Time, Queen Of Love, Partial Belated Overture, Walking Along With You and Hirem Pawnitof/Fairiesβ Hornpipe
From side one of the seventh album by the British (Formed in Edinburgh, Scotland) Psychedelic folk/Folk rock group, βUβ (1970).
A double album, the music was part of a multimedia project the band undertook algonside the dance troupe Stone Monkey (including Malcolm le Maistre, who became a member if ISB soon after). (Quoting Wikipedia directly in the next two sentences) The project was described my ISB co-founder Robin Williamson as a βsurreal parable in song and danceβ, one that was βneither a pageant, a play, dance, theater, nor pantomime, though there were elements of all of thoseβ in the show. For the plot, Williamson explained βthe vague notion was, a soul incarnates out of nowhere, lives, and then vanishes again at the other end. Hence the idea βUββ. Very hippy-dippy UK Underground-type stuff, but rich in different musical styles and instrumentation.
Iβll follow up with side two later on.
