Same. It’s gotten very old and I wish they’d retire this trope at this point. That’s the reason why “All Bottled Up” was a piece of shit.

Yeah definetly the best episode thus far (outside of leaked ones) and since it canonised Rick & Morty we can expect a lot of fanfics and fan arts with them. Also cuod for making writing more relatable grannies who lust over young hotel employees and flirst with magicians. I was expecting more child friendly lame grannies but this time they surprised me.

Also it doesn’t make a super amount of sense, but I find something a bit cute about Dash really loving the IDEA of being on a roller coaster. Like, philosophically it speaks to her.

I agree but at the same time it makes sense from the fact that she would have probably been lenient if they hadn’t faked their sleep. She thought she could get her eyes off them and when she didn’t and they left it “proved” that AJ was right, which is why she tried to follow everything to the letter after, and as it turns out its AJ that again is the overprotective one.  
As always she act too fast but she wasn’t that irresponsible in this ep. She didn’t try to wait at the line thinking they’d stay asleep for example and went back for them.

Grannies were the funniest part of the episode while Dash was the most frustrating. Since the viewers related more to grannies Dash was annoying for both them and audience. There was almost no jokes coming from her other than overreacting and being childish.

For me it was pretty boring episode. I don’t really care for Glimmer and this episode didn’t make me like her, but that can also be said about Sunburst. It was a 5/10 with predictable plotline but without any annnoying aspects.

Well, the bit about Trixie’s implied backstory was good I suppose.

How was she childish, she was actually trying hard to follow Aj’s rules and keep them safe.
 
She acted out of usual character because she was led to believe it was required of her.
 
I think it’s actually a testament to how hard she’s trying, compared to her friends.

I don’t mind it really. They placed Bioshock Infinity twin ponies and Slenderman in S4 so it’s nothing new for them to place easily outdated memes in the background.

The problem is that for me, enjoyment came out of grannies ONLY while Dash was just frustrating buzzkill. The writers failed to make her entertaining. Like for example, instead throwing out the nachos, she could just run into the kitchen, quickly try to make a salad, and trying to convince Granny that it is much healthier. This way you have “try hard” Dash being funny and desperate, but what we got was her wasting food and it is just unfunny. There are ponies walking hungry and somepony put an effort to make those.

Oh I know about that as well. If I recall, they also placed Grumpy Cat in one episode of S4 as well. I’m just surprised that the show is doing this again after realizing that they were trying to stay “relevant”.

That was definetly the worst part of the episode.
 
I rarely use the word _“cringe” but that scene was just that.
