No more illogical then really any other episode featuring talking horses, magic, chocolate rain, mythological monsters, and such really.  
In fact, “Games Ponies Play” I thought was one of the more “realistic” episodes. My only problem with that ep’ was it was kinda dull, but I loved the chicken pony.
 
Out of those 3 I think I enjoyed the Spike episode best. Say what you want about it, but I thought the Timberwolves looked cool. (Obvious CGI-aside.) I like seeing more monsters, or weird creatures in the show.

Even if they were ok to sit through, you had to admit they were shallow, illogical and not as good as many other eps. Though on the bright, with the weaker plots and disregard for continuity, logic or fan wishes, they show DHX really aren’t writing for us, so people can finally shut up about this pandering BS

Also, Hasbro doesn’t make the show, DHX does for the most part.

They were crap episodes and were definetely not written to appeal to bronies (MMC gets progressively worse the more you think and try to make sense of the plot).
 
So rest assured, Hasbro will give you crap episodes whether you like it or not

A lot of people hated MD well before it aired because they saw a Trixie episode as a clear sign of pandering. That the thing was written a few month after Boast Busters aired doesn’t actually factor into that train of thought.
 
Meanwhile, the same people splooge themselves over Derpy cameos.

It was the best of a twitching shitfest, not a hard achievement. Still, it was pretty good. The ending seemed unfinished and dicky on Twilight’s part.

I don’t get what’s with all the “Magic Duel” hate. I thought that was one of the better episodes of S3, in fact I liked it better then the previous Trixie episode.

Magic Duel was garbage. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong.
