Though of course their continued non-existent-ness strongly suggests that they’re dead,one must note that none of the CMC’s parents showed up.Taken alone,you can say”Apple Bloom’s can’t be here! Clearly they got eaten by timber wolves!”“Scootaloo’s parents aren’t here! Clearly she doesn’t have any and lives in a cardboard box somewhere!“and,uh,insert whatever the fanon is on Sweetie Belle’s,who exist just enough that we know it’s not a case like that.But all together,well,the CMC were seen with the characters we’ve actually seen them get development alongside,namely,the siblings and surrogate sibling in Scoots’case.

So to me this doesn’t make them any deader.…but yeah,they’re totally dead.

Sweetie’s and by extension Rare’s are the only one’s yet to appear on screen. We also clearly see Scootaloo’s and Sweetie’s homes in Flight to the Finish and One Bad Apple.
