I also decided to play Undertale after seeing this image, BTW. I’m not sure whether or not I’d have ever heard of it otherwise.

Also, (spoiler alert) I like to think of calling this “LOVE” as pronounced like “LOATHE” here which makes sense given what it really means and how it might sound if shortened… That doesn’t do anything for the element of surprising someone near the end of the game, but for anyone who has played it? Works for me at least.

I may still get dreams of graveyards. S’been happenin’ since 2008 at least, though they aren’t always nightmares for me even if I do dream of walking around in a Cemetery.
 
That one with the Pope image blocking my way to my workshop though, the heck was with that? It wasn’t even a person, just a white light type image on the wall where the door should be. I then said “Come at me, bro” and was slammed against a wall (which doesn’t mean it was the Pope image that did that), then I woke up.

No, I get it, a suppressed fear can often haunt your subconscious in the form of nightmares. At least, it happens for some people.

Flowey isn’t exactly the most terrifying thing to grace videogames but I’m not afraid to admit ||his whole psycho mantis/cyriak stunt near the end was a little bit off puting… at least to me ||

…it’s Flowey being something of a soulless demon, his shapeshifting and transformations, the god-like power he has, the fact that he’s connected to the Fallen Child, and the fact that LOVE actually stands in the game for Level Of ViolencE. And the fact there’s the joke about RD’s nightmare being the scariest of the lot.

having finished both the neutral and the pure endings of the game , im still not getting what the nightmare fuel related description means , is it just because the flower is a sunflower as well? i need help understanding this joke…..

Suffice to say, Flowey’s introduction here barely scratches the surface. You may suffer from a flower phobia after playing it. Rainbow had the right reaction.
