Imagine, if you will, the following scenario.
 
The Cromulons come to the Equestria Girls world and demand to see WHAT THEY GOT. The Rainbooms, Shadowbolts and Dazzlings all intend on wowing the Cromulons for their planet, but shenanigans go down and neither group is able to make it to the staging ground. The ones who do show up, however, are Derpy and Snips & Snails, who then proceed to somehow impress the Cromulons with an improvised song. The Rainbooms, Shadowbolts and Dazzlings are all left speechless as the unlikely trio are chosen to represent their world with a second, entirely original song.
