This went from “the comic where there is always a thing in everyone’s hands” to “how do I draw the backgrounds without drawing the backgrounds”
 
Pretty happy to go from not drawing ever to this whole thing in about 8 hours (or 10, idk)”

The sad thing is, I could totally see a scene like that in Steven Universe. And I would not like it at all. Sorry, comic is okay, I think it fits the tone of the show. But I have a problem with it to begin with and with some of the characters in term of personality, so… I don’t say your comic is bad, neutrally speaking it does everything I think right. But my personal bias makes me roll my eyes in parts of it.
