Well, we don’t know what it’ll be about. That’s just speculation.

I tried to use the know episode titles and assuming a week an episode to see if that meant anything dropped in line with holidays, or the like.
 
The only reasoning I can see is that if you assume a break for Friendship Games, and for Thanksgiving weekend, is this ends the season before the Christmas holiday by a week (where most other shows also end seasons or enter reruns). And given the theory that DiscFam is making sure to maximize ratings of MLP showings when the target demo are otherwise at school and not distracted by family things (like Thanksgiving and Christmas), that’s appropriate timing.
 
But also, there’s no episode alignment of any type. “The One Where Pinkie Knows” (which is Berrow’s episode and likely the one about the Pie family) falls on Halloween, which doesn’t feel like a Halloweed/Nightmare Night episode.

So they’re (possibly) coming back from hiatus two weeks before the premiere of Friendship Games?

I’m preparing Nelson’s “Ha-Ha!” to all people who thinks it’s fake or mistake when episode will air in September.

Yeah I think the date is wrong, knowing how we calculated the dates of the haloween and heart’s warming eve/Christmas episode before. But you won’t hear me complain if it does turn out to be September 12th.
 
Anyway it feels like it could be a continuation of Sweet and Elite with its motto “No matter where you go in life, you should never forget that you are the product of your home and your friends. And that is something always to be proud of, no matter what.”
 
Rarity needs to choose between Canterlot and Ponyville (which will be the latter without any doubt). Though why would it be such a problem to move to Canterlot if it’s like an hour away by train? Most of my friends live like an hour away currently and one will be about two hours away soon. However we still see each other and are good friends, so what’s the fuss? Like three of her friends could even fly and I’m guessing Twilight will be a lot in Canterlot too for political reasons.  
Talking about purplesmart, I hope this will be a Rara/Twi episode, because we haven’t gotten any of those so far.

Well, I checked zap2it, and it’s definitely there, so that part isn’t fake. At worst, it’s a wrong date.
