They also live with Pinkie, they have twins AND live with Pinkie, nothing phases them anymore. Actually if you go by her age in the flashback from Pinkie Pride they probably raised her through puberty and when all of her powers developed, just imagine that for a moment

However, in terms of the imbalance, it was still a lot better than Spike/Luna, where Luna was pretty much Ms. Exposition and then shunted to the side. At least here, the Cakes were part of the plot but just didn’t have the limelight as much as Rarity.

I haven’t read the issue yet, but from the looks of it, it’s as I feared, Rarity basically has to be bailed out of her ambitions by the Cakes rather than realizing how she messed up and having to fix it herself as she usually does in the show.
