Eyup. That was the inspiration. Short enough that it’s not encumbersome (he actually wields two) and the shape is nearly perfect for doing massive damage on the swing as most of it’s weight is to the tip making it quite easy to lop off limbs.

No. As far as the canon bit of his story goes, he’s the rival of Shining Armor and a deep admirer of Luna. But if we were to go into the spin-off where I have more freedom (as I’d rather keep his canon story plastic to the show canon and so not interfere with it) he’d be Luna’s lover.
