I never said that. If I were to assign real-life skin tones to the characters, I’d make them like their VAs. Easy. Simple. No nonsense.
But as Background Pony #3408 indicated, they made a good call by going the route they did.

I get so sick of seeing Ever After High fans bitching about how there’s not enough dark skinned characters, or that this or that character should have darker skin and be from this place, etc.
Who the fucking cares, it’s a goddamned cartoon and toy series, glorifying different races is just as bad as condemning them, if not worse.
If we’re talking about horses white coat, blue eyed horses are 100% of the time pink skinned.
As for being wrong, a white coated horse will never have dark skin because of it’s genes.
You do know a horses’ coat is different from their skin, right? And so what if she has her mom’s hair? This is ludicrous, you can think of her as white till the cows come home but it doesn’t mean other people are wrong

Rarity literally has a white coat blue eyes, her dad is the same, her sister too has a white coat, only her mom has a pink coat.
Both parents speak with Minnesota accents.

This conversation is ridiculous.
??? Zecora is canonically based on irl African culture (a mishmash of them but the neck rings suggest Ndebele), while the mane six don’t have any confirmed culture at all. They could be literally anything. Pinkie’s family could possibly be based on the Amish but there are no restrictions on the ethnicity of Amish families.
And I mean, Zecora could technically be white considering there are Africans with albinism
She’s inspired by African native culture though, while the mane six come from an American/Canadian style culture.
So I don’t really see how that compares.
Think about making Zecora white.
