See, this is why “Refromed Discord” was a good idea, it’s also just really sweet from a character perspective. So many comics cast Discord as the antagonistic force everyone has to put up with, so it’s really nice seeing one where he’s the protector instead.

Probably the first time, canon or fiction, that I’ve seen Discord get concerned for somepony’s life. He even acted reasonable and serious.

I think people misunderstand Discord, yes he’s carefree and nonchalant 99% of the time, but even he can turn it off when necessary. He cares about Alice, so he’s going to be a little more serious when he needs to be. But only then. ;)

Is it just me or has Discord always been serious and reasonable around Alice? With the exception of when he encountered Alice in his realm, he has always been serious and has hardly showed his mischievous self.
