Yes, there’s definitely something of that nature still inbound. I hope Fou du Bulbe can pull off grafting this to the show’s plotline with a coherent tone, because I’ve really liked the tone so far.
Sorely tempted to roll with your theory, but it seems like Trix would need one humdinger of a downturn at this point to consider ‘proving herself’ against Twilight a priority. Maybe this show they’re arranging goes seriously south, maybe further relationship drama undermines this revelation…whatever form it takes, I get the impression there’s at least one more bitter patch inbound.
Because that sounds like Trixie is getting close to being ready to get back on the road again.
That would make a good story, too. She shows up at the farm, discombobulated, and finds herself again. Literally.
I mean, I’m not eager for it to be over, I love the ship and it’s been really fun to read. If it’s gonna keep going for a while, great. It just sounds like the plot hit Epiphany Junction right here.
Dunno, but it’s gonna have to come to a close at some point. Trixie will take the alicorn amulet and go through Magic Duel, after all. It’s to be seen if Foudubulbe will continue to the story after that takes place. I imagine they may be waiting to see if Trixie has a S5 appearance before making that decision.
Wait, what makes you believe this means the comic is coming to a close?

Trixie’s final line, meanwhile, was absolutely heartwarming.
