Arguable, since her situation in the book was left intentionally vague to create ambiguity. Winston Smith (the protagonist) lived in hope that she would care about him even after capture, which emphasised the feelings of hope as a harrowing experience and the only thing that could have made his suffering worthwhile.
Depending on how you read it, she cared about Smith all the way through or she abandoned Smith due to brainwashing and fear.
