Twilight has never shown any interest in males or females? The only thing that I will say on this is not everyone is totally visible when they express interest in sexual attractions. And besides regardless if Twi is straight, lesbian or bi, she is the type who is totally absorbed and focused in her work. She probably has naughty clopfic downtime at like 2am when everyponyelse is asleep. :p

1: This objection is nonsense. Crushes can happen at any time, and I don’t know why you specified that he’s male. She’s certainly never showed “interest” in any females.  
2: This one is pointless. They’r not even an item, and you want to see his resume.

I’ve had some issues with this shipping. I have no problems with Twilight getting a boyfriend, but in EG it was way too sudden, almost no buildup, and they share almost NO chemistry.
-First off, Twilight never displayed interest in any male character in the show, so why start now?
-Neither she, nor do we know anything about Flash other than he’s Sunset’s ex and that he plays guitar (Why don’t girls ever fall for xylophonists?) Does he have a job? Does he watch internet reviewers? Is he even trustworthy?
-Because of the latter, why does Twilight like him so much? Sure he was nice to her….I guess, but that’s not enough. He has NO stake to the plots of either films, he falls into the evil schemes rather easily, he’s kind of a dope, and he’s just boring.
I wouldn’t mind seeing Twilight or any of the mane six getting love interests, but they have to build up gradually from friendships into genuine love. (In the series, not the movies. The movies have little time to establish any sort of relationships of that sort)

standard fairy tale love story rules? love at first sight with the biggest reason being beauty? at least flash ISN’T such a perfect guy (he would’ve shrugged off sunset satan and the dazzling’s respective emotion spells). i’m guessing they’ll let the character development in a later movie (at most, the third one), at least we’ve known about flash sometime.

Given the ships simultaneously in play here:  
  • Cadance and Shining Armor = newlywed couple  
  • Twilight Sparkle and Flash Sentry = awkward teenagers in their first romantic relationship  
  • Cadance and Twilight Sparkle = Former babysitter and sittee who are now sorority sisters (sort of)  
  • Shining Armor and Twilight Sparkle = Big bro / lil sis  
  • Cadance and Flash Sentry = Princess and bodyguard  
  • Shining Armor and Flash Sentry = Military commander and subordinate
     
    how can anyone dismiss Flashlight? Seriously, you could write an entire sitcom from this setup.
