Watch what you say! Some people will actually ’ship it. :P
I give up. I’m still calling him Eggman.
Sega confirmed he’s still “Robotnik,” (his Americanized name) and “Eggman.” (His Japanese/modern name) and it’s been adopted as his canon family name, especially sense his Grandfather is called “Professor Gerald Robotnik” even in the Japanese version of “Sonic Adventure 2.”
Some old-school fans still prefer the name “Robotnik.”
Eh, the games seem to be losing interest in humans that aren’t Eggman.
Speaking of which, why do the Dr. Eggman tags on Derpibooru keep reverting back to Robotnik?! That isn’t his name anymore!
Thanks.
They also had Professor Pickle appear in a few issues back (with Uncle Chuck) I think Professor Pickle should be a recurring character in both the comics & games personally, sense he’s kinda amusing.
*Werehog
Pretty much the status-quo at the moment of Sonic & his Freedom Fighter friends fighting Eggman, and apparently their planet has been cracked-apart, and they have to find a way to bring it back together, in kinda a clever pseudo-Sonic Unleashed adaption in the current stories. And apparently, the “Warehog” was brought in.” (Before people gripe, I think they managed to make the Warehog interesting in the comic, as Sonic hasn’t gotten full control, or used to the transformation yet.)
I can’t afford to renew my subscription, so I’m not up to date on the Sonic comics sadly. :(
There is word a second crossover with Megaman is in the works surprisingly.
So what’s the current situation of the comics, in the story? Earth in trouble again or something?
To be fair, some of the other Sonic characters do wear more clothes. (Mostly the females.)
Alas, I have no Sonic OCs to speak of. Seems most of the ones online have hedgehogs wearing clothes, even though Sonic wears nothing more than gloves and shoes.
Well that to, but I didn’t want to insult the artist.
I thought it had more to do with how…ahem…“unique” the art style is.
Well, almost anything with Sonic, or Sonic O.C.s is almost always going to get downvoted here.
Plus, I guess aside from the Fire Fly cameo, this doesn’t have much to do with pony, which is another reason.
Geez, look at all the downvotes it’s got…
I guess it’s just Sonic, Princess Sally, Tails, Fire Fly, Bilbo Baggins, and some random Sonic O.C.s wishing a Merry Christmas, and birthday to somebody. Nothing more to say about it.
(According to the source it’s a “gift art” to a friend of the artist’s, and apparently that’s their O.C.s, and favorite characters, I assume.)
Anyway…what is going on in this picture?
Pttthhbbbt!!! :P
“As far as you know.”
Riiiiiiiight.
For me it depends on the crossover. (Though, I’m not “autistic” as far as I know.)
Like for instance, I didn’t care much for the “Sonic & Image comics” crossover in Sonic’s Archie comic series.
(Which ironically according to Linkara’s review, focused more on it’s writer Ken Penders’ original “Lost Ones” human characters “DONOTSTEAL!” rather then Sonic, and his Freedom Fighter friends, OR the Image Comics characters…)
But I did like the “Sonic & Megaman” crossover that Archie Comics did. (Because they publish both the Sonic & Megaman comics.) Helped that Ian Flynn wrote it. (Somebody who is actually familiar with the video games, and both franchises.)
Only if it’s Smash Bros.
Otherwise, I don’t care much for crossovers.
While that’s an unfair stereotype, some autistic people do seem to be obsessed with crossover fanart for some reason.
