Exactly, those giant crabs appeared when they convinced Posey that some dangerous flowers are evil but she didn’t believe them because she thinks they’re (the crabs) are scary that they’ll destroy her garden and the rest of her friends’ home; the other little ponies also believe her too. That’s similar to Zecora and all of Ponyville when all of them thinks Zecora would curse them because they think she’s an enchantress or something.
