Possibly. One theory I’ve read about FIM vs. EQG is that FIM is aimed at little girls whose TV viewing is still directed by their parents, so the writers throw in an occasional joke that’s more adult-level to keep the parents interested. EQG, on the other hand, is aimed at tween girls who think they’re too old for ponies, and are old enough to watch on their own, so there’s no point in putting in adult-level jokes since parents aren’t likely to be watching.
The ironic result is that even though EQG is aimed at an older audience, the level of jokes in it is actually more juvenile than FIM.
I guess that works.
Juvenile?
It’s not the word I would use, but it’s something more than FiM.
It’s about the same.
“Thank you all, and scene…”
Damn it! Beat me to it.
Do do do doooo!
I have no hair!
