It’s just like the game where you start off as a small fish, and eat smaller fish so you grow. As you grow, you can eat larger and larger fish. If the shark wants to stop you from eating it, it should attack you as early as possible and not wait.

Easy, persuade Celestia somehow. She’s retarded, and everyone listens to her for some reason.
 
My reasoning: Tirek  
He was only powerful enough to eat Unicorn magic. Not Alicorn magic. All they had to do was to defeat him as the four Alicorns they are. But no, Celestia waited for Tirek to grow so powerful until he could eat Alicorn power. What did Celestia do then? Chickens out and decides to hide all powers.
 
I really can’t see how someone can defend her behaviour … Mr. Enter <.<

My plan is kinda complicated, but it involves separating the Mane 6 all across Equestria (probably with offers of dream jobs or other somesuch arrangement) then while the Elements of Harmony are separated and after they’ve already grown accustomed to their new arrangements, storm Canterlot with army of clockwork ponies.

Hit Ponyville, Canterlot, and the Crystal Empire with 50 megaton strategic nuclear warheads. This will kill everyone but Celestia, Luna, Discord, and possibly Cadence - who can be promptly hit with Path to Exile and obliterated that way.
